Thanks for clarification. I have regressed to riding PoS bmx bikes out the scrap pile, so I have no intelligence or authority with mtb choice.

I'm looking for some riser bars.
Carbon, trail use, 720-740ish width, 20mmish rise. Kinda reluctant to chop anything down TBH.
Renthal FatBar Lite sounds OK but the graphics...ugh.
Any suggestions?

I was thinking of getting these Nukeproof. 780mm though so need the chop.

Yeah. I just CBA to chop. Someone has made the bars I want!

Yeah, but they made them about 10 years ago ;-)

What rear hub does the Deviate come with? I'm curious as to how much lag there is in the gearbox freehub, and it appears to bother some more than others
-
• #13664
It comes with a Stan's Neo hub. Lag is slightly more pronounced than standard freehubs alone but I have found no disadvantage in either technical climbs or descents.
There is some discernable drag when riding more groomed trails but the bike was built for steep tech and gnar so it handles that beautifully.

If it's anything like the Rohloff, that should lessen over time. I presume it's pedalling drag, rather than when freewheeling?
-
• #13668
There appears to be a bit of both, really. There are two freewheels so perhaps that promotes some extra drag?
When riding the kind of terrain the bike was built for the rear wheel tracking is so good any drag is negated.

Also bargainous. Do you think the misspelling of Lyrik affects the performance...?

I sent them back to be unborked, and they came back with new lowers, and work the way they're supposed to, even the first 10%!
I am the biggest Manitou fan, but that Axel is a cheap piece of junk
