Conversely, I can deal with a sweaty back, if it means that I don't have to drink out of a shit-encrusted water bottle during the winter :-)
Not that I actually go outdoors during the winter....

I also like to carry extra clothing, so there's never the chance that I'll be caught out in the cold*
*Not going out avoids this issue

Sane strategy.

If you're over 40, it's fine to have a mudguard ;-)

They can do all sorts with modern technology now. It's amazing.

I use cheapo amazon bladder pack. Works well. I find anything attached to the bike distracting.
All my clothes are from either wiggle or crc sale. Mostly endura. -

I bet those bottles will still end up with muck on the nozzles (ooh nurse).
Just don't drink.

Yes, I'm aware of those flimsy nozzle covers. They're better than nothing, but still a bit shit.

My hydration hose gets covered in grit too tbh. I think the only foolproof way is a water inside a framebag.

Who are you and how did you hack hippy's account??

I had one of those nozzle-covered bottles like the Elite. It was shit. When it fell off the platform exiting a train's bike carriage, the guard asked if I wanted it back, I said no.
Been riding Vittoria Barzos in 55-559/2.25's on stupidly narrow rims the last couple of days since they arrived. Feel pretty good at 40psi, but so wide the mud flicking is getting into my face mouth.

Had some of those arrive in the post today

I did my summer touring on Vittoria graphene tech tyres. I also have them on my fixie skidder bike They are very good tyres. Glad to see they are moving into MTB

So far so good, for me. I’m still getting to grips with mtb, but they feel relatively fast and are gripping well. I don’t have much experience in the way of big ass tyres, but these are reacting exactly as I’d imagine (in a good way).

I've been using those all summer. They're good.
Damn right
