What’s a rule if it’s not to be broken?
Mounted but never used MT Trail Carbons from eBay for a song.
Will have some Guide R brakes in good nick for sale soon.

I take it those are for the full squish? I didn't think you were keen on the Maguras that came on your Fsi.

fuarkkkk
dibs if you sell the/any maguras -

For the full squish, yes.
The MT series has some oddities but they really grew on me, mainly because they’ve required zero attention once properly bled, have pretty much never squawked and have only gone through one set of pads each end in the three years I’ve had the bike.

4 pot on the rear for better skids...

Why you no XL? :(

Seen any? Pauls Cycles used to be the go to. Alas they have nothing.

Try Rutland?

Not many better marathon bikes. I’d be a bit weary of getting one with a 2.0 lefty now though. Is there one they do with a step cast or SID?

SE, but not in XL or a price I'm willing to pay for spec.
To be honest, i think its worth the risk and the 2018 is preinstalled with the 'upgrade'. Also, if it all goes horribly wrong... Ocho as warranty?Given the 3 options; are Enve + Sram Eagle worth an extra £1k?
All have carbon wheels. Xtr or XX1. 12 vs 11spd is no biggy for me. Currently running 34 by 11-36 so either is more than i want/need ;)
Top 2 have 'hi-mod' but whats a few grams in the frame. Rotational is where it's at.

Ideal bike; black frame, black forks.
Might help you decide ;-)

Except in said circumstance;

Enve and 12speed probably only worth it if you knew you were going to upgrade later on.
Re 2.0 - not sure about spare parts medium term as they’ve effectively killed it off. The XLR remote can be finicky as it’s hydraulic and needs to work perfectly to work at all. But otherwise it’s a good XC fork / strut ting.

I think for £4.5k I would strongly consider a Santa Cruz
Lifetime warranty on the carbon rims and frame, no proprietary stuff, bloody good parts spec, and they look damn nice too

I am thinking about buying some of these.
What is the difference between 20mm and 40mm?

Honestly not sure. Could be rotor related 160mm standard, +20mm for 180 and +40mm for 200mm?

You are right I think

How easy would it be to get a fork that fits this:
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223078798216
Non lefty probably.

I was going to but I’m not sure whether he appreciates being the cannondale guru

You can fit a normal fork to it with either a reducer adapter or a special headset.
Bit spendy to do so.
Personally because of the faff involved I would be reluctant to pay £200 for that frame.
Fair enough, I’d not looked at the prices from your eBay links and knew YT were reducing the end of year lines
