What makes you say this ? , I find that Carbon forks soak up a good amount of vibration and obvs they are lighter .

I find steel better at that. I'm also more confident ploughing a steel fork into things (rightly or wrongly). Feels better.
I've only use the two carbon tubes and a crown types though, not monocoque ones like the Niner.

fair enough , I can see positives to both sides , Id love to have ago on some fancy shmancy Enve or Niner forks as my ali express £45 specials will probably snap at some point.

Anyone got any recommendations for low stack stems? Or anything kicking about they want rid of?

In other news - not Brexity-priced Sunrise bars will be ready for collection next month.
Collect bars and then smash 2 butter drenched lobsters into my face for lunch. Top stuff.
I heard back from the bike shop in Boston and they cannot get a hold of any Sunrise bars before I arrive. Not even from other bike shops - no one has any and Surly's shipments have been delayed. so no super bargain for me.
Oh well. I will console myself with Lobster and Sam Adams.
And these that I found for a bit of a bargain on eBay. I should commute on my MTB next week to win wide bar Wednesday.

Any interest in custom steel 29er? If I'm going to sell it it ought to be before it's (re) built up. Medium large XC9. Bright Curtis yellow (not the washed out mustard from my camera)

Is there any reason you'd rather not use Shimano? I swapped out the original Tektro rotors for Shimano with my TRP Spyres and braking performance improved (especially in terms of less noise). A friend (who runs a bike repair business) swapped out SRAM Guide rotors for Shimano and was very impressed with the improvements.

icetech are the only rotors I’ve ever worn out. But yeah super otherwise.

I've got a Prong 29 (can be found on the Travers website) going spare.
