  • This looks like loads of fun. I'm not going to make it until the New year now, but will be definitely up for it when I'm back from down under, late Jan.

Tori and I have been chatting about moving next year and Herne Hill keeps coming up as a possible. If there is polo round the corner as well as the track then that is just a bonus. :-) I reckon that coming down to polo and chatting to peeps that live round that way would be a great idea.

    Have fun tonight. :-)

  • mashton, come live SE24 dude. it's where it's at.

  • it may well happen jonny, watch this space. :-)

  • Totally dude. I've lived in Brixton for 7 years and it rocks. Currently half way between brixton and herne hill and happy to chat to you about it.

Will try and come down tonight but might be doing stuff with the lady. Will see you all in the new year if not tonight.

  • I can also recommend Herne Hill, knocks the socks off the other bits of Sarf London I've lived in, and I was born there.
Sadly can't make it tonight, but will be there in the new year!

  • Not sure if I can make it down tonight - other half is in London tonight, and a work party too. Will see what can be done.

  • where are the games tonight (a map would be useful)

  • ratboy, you need to head up railton road out of brixton. brightly coloured fencing on the right hand side. adventure playground. polo place in there. half sevenish mate. see you then

  • i shall be there at around 20 past 7. c you guys then. can someone bring a ball? iv a got a mallet now but no hockey ball or anything.

  • I'm coming, but not playing as my mallet got broken on sunday. dt will have a mallet and a hockey ball

  • Skoot or one of the others should have the ball situation sorted

  • plenny balls maybe fitty

  • another decent session last night. cheers all.

lessons learnt from last night are mainly about the carnage that playing polo can wreak on the bikes:

edmundane - puncture (though on a heavily skidded thru rear tyre)
evan - unbelievable that the ball sheered the valve of your tyre clean off
and my collision with flatlander snapping an outer plate on one of my chain links. limped home on it still, and into work this morning.

needed a new chain anyway - that one was dirty ;)

definitely gonna get on to polo bike (and mallet build) over the xmas period.

  • I must've been blind drunk last night, drove by but couldn't see anyone!? :(

  • you like my pie ; )
thanks guys was fun - nice one flatlander again, i love hitting that floor : )
we need to get some south side polo pics i think.

  • teenslain we ended up in peckham in a car park.

  • teenslain, we couldn't get into the railton road place so swung over to peckham to play in a multi-storey car park. good venue.

sorry if you came along for a game dude - make sure you get/give your number to someone when we resume in the new year.

  • how was the peckham venue?
