You're more than welcomed to come and give it ago. We'll be at Herne Hill velodrome this Sunday from 1030 onwards. Someone will lend you a bike and mallet to try it out!

It would be great if those who are going to be using Herne hill tomorrow give enough of a shit to come to the lhbpa meeting at look mum no hands today at 10.30.
Remember that there wouldn't be a herne hill if not for the lhbpa and peoples hard work

Yep, less people showed up than showed up to get paid for a photo shoot to promote some jeans and get paid personally. Great stuff guys thanks for your support and interest in helping London bike polo out. God I love bike polo

come and play tomorrow ben

• #22056
Relax Ben, we had a good discussion and we made plans for the year. In fact me woody and Jimmy are still here. Don't worry it ebbs and flows.

No thanks Tony. It's a fucking joke that you lot are all playing tomorrow on a court that a few people have spent shitloads of time on giving a really exciting future but not a single one of you could be arsed to come and get involved with helping out. Oh yeah you could deffo take the time to show up to get a pay out from Lee Cooper though....lame
Kev it was great to see you guys and the only reason I'm really gonna bother with polo related stuff is cause of people like you but generally there are a million things that I'd rather do with my time than polo including fiddling with my balls and staring intently at a blank wall, mainly due to the attitude that seems to mean that no one apart from 2 or 3 people gives a shit about what polo was about for me. Things change etc but increasingly it's not worth bothering with anymore.

anyway im sorry to miss the meeting my bad but 10 30 am for me is out of my range of polo

I hope they give you fuck all
-
• #22062
Steady on fam.
It is disappointing that those who use the court so much are often the loudest in objections yet don't turn up to meetings, but look on the positive that we managed to deliver a sizeable part of our mission this year and have an excellent base in Hh moving forward, potentially meaning more players, who hopefully realise the importance and payoff of helping out!

haha is fine is just 200 pounds mate not the end of the world
-
• #22064
seriously Ben go fuck. polo is kept going by people who turn up and play. if everyone had your shitty attitude towards it nobody would play so there would be no point to a court. have you also considered that people have other things to do like family/work at that time on a Saturday morning. also get over the Lee cooper thing it was friends helping a friend and nothing you could ever have said or cried about would have stopped it happening. plus with how badly organised you all are you couldn't have sorted it in a week like we did. £200 is better in the hands of polo players than randoms who they were going to use anyway.

Polo seems like it's hanging on by a thread. Lets try and keep the family together and ideally with a shred of dignity.

Back on thread.
See you guys at HH today. League game at 11am and then pick up after. Good numbers coming down so guaranteed good games. Bring back the polo love.

Hi Folks, massive novice here but I'd love to get involved.
Where and when do you play at the moment? I don't have a polo ready bike or mallet? Can I tag along? Or should I get my own kit first?
I live in Peckham (is there still and session there at the carpark?) and work in Dulwich near the Herne Hill Velodrome.
