Hey all, the new panels are gonna be delivered to HH at 2ish today.
If anyone wants to get there then with me, we could try and move the panels to the centre of the track so when Kev and other start building on Sunday they will already be in the middle...

Me and Tim are going down to HH tomorrow evening (Monday) after work to start rebuilding, if anyone else can help, we'd appreciate it.

Monday polo?
-
• #20337
I think Monday is a repair session at HH.
I guess if people want to play on a decent court this summer they should do that for one evening rather than playing polo?
Just putting that out there :)

There's a HH discussion/fixing/planning thread. Just putting that out.
So who's up for Monday?
-
• #20339

Here's why I wanna play tomorrow:
I have promised a beginner I will get him a bike which I have and we'll be meeting up tomorrow to sort the bike out courtside. Also, I have made plans to collect from a buyer just 2 minutes from Newington.

• #20342
so you dont want a court at Herne Hill then. Thanks for the input
-
• #20343
splashing out to repair a semi permanent badly designed and badly built court over and over is different to wanting a permanent court! where it is doesnt bother me, london is tiny anywhere is accessible!
-
• #20344
great to hear that you have made an effort to find out what is actually happening at Herne Hill @GranthamMiles before jumping in and having a go. Everything (ie the fruits of alot of hard work and time spent by volunteers) especially the reasoning to patch the court up again has been laid out for people to read on the various threads on the LHBPA subforum. If you dont have access then ask Max and he will give you access. As there was a vote on whether to do this or not and not a single person voted against, it seems that you are in a minority on this one. But thank you for your incredibly helpful, thoughtful and considered input.

my personal opinion on this is that you will be surprised in how many kids play at herne hill at Tim sessions, and even when I went down there randomly one evening just by there own omissions. If feel that having a playable court there is nothing but a positive to the future.
