No probs Julia. Enjoyed the games despite the weather. Thanks everyone, I think I'll be taking a few newly learnt skills and tactics back home. See ya again in April.

Now this is the first and last time that I'll spam this thread, but I have a South London related plea that I thought some of you might be interested in...
I work for a fundraising website called Spacehive, and we're currently supporting a group in Stockwell who are raising money to create a wild adventure playground for kids to play in and to learn about plants and green stuff.
You can read all about it here: https://spacehive.com/stockwellurbanoasis
They've got one week left to raise £400 - not bad considering they've raised £2500 already. BUT if they don't raise all their money by the deadline they'll loose the rest.
If anyone here wants to support a local project and give a lil bit of money that would be FAB! Even just sharing this link with people you think would be interested would help a lot.
thanks :) (and sorry for the spam)

Who is in for today?
-
• #13413
Going to have to skip today kids. But was after some advice:
Schwalbe Kojak 700x35 VS Continental Sport Contact 700x37
I'm after some 700c polo slicks and was wondering if anyone had any advice / experience? I'd like the 37s which i recon i could squeeze onto my pomp but at 550grams they are much heavier than the 350gram kojaks.... I heard someone the other day rating the kojaks too.. any thoughts??/

Why do you want them so wide? 28c is sufficient, if you're only using them for polo. I'm on Kojak's at the moment, but have only ridden them for a few weeks.

Depends what you're after. Chunky is fun and comfy.
Anyway, it's quite subjective but I prefer the Conti compound, its grip gives more feedback. This said, I rock Schwalbe at the moment cus the weight is so low and they tend to far better on our terrible roads.

go thinner. Its quicker, you're quicker. fat tires are so 2009 / 2010.

• #13417
Yeah Andy, 25s or 28s will be fine.

Haha, fair do's :)

Panaracer Ribmo are pretty light and brilliant for puncture protection at the same time. Only ever had a single puncture in a year from a proper piece of glass cutting through it.

I'm running seca survivors at 28c. Never had a puncture(touch wood) in 9 months very grippy and cheap.Beagle, Just fitted the p2's shaved some weight without changing the geo. I'll let you know if the 26" wheel makes any difference when I find one. Nice one fella.

Anyone in early today?
-
• #13422
Yeah, both those tyres sound decent.. hmmm, food for thought.. I'd just worked myself up to getting some fatties, will have to have a rethink..
Anyway, I'm in for tonight, be down about 6.30 / 7 -

good practising session yesterday. Thanks, Louis!
A couple of south teams are doing team practice... You might have to wait around on your own during team talks... I imagine no one will complain if you pretend to be cam :)
