Tony / Whitcomb are both part of the constellation group, which is also the name of the people who registered the domain theoldkentroad.co.uk
Tony's disliked as his arrival at whitcombs seemed to be around the same time there was a massive hike in prices and use of poncy designy PR websites etc.

roger dodge, that be the link - and yeah, i couldn't fail to miss all the anti-whitcomb/dafoney stuff on here, quite right too.

Ouch, that website really does make me want to work the author over with a baseball bat. I would ask who the fuck would buy a bike from someone that conceited, but it seems to work for hundreds of LBS owners the country over....

So, DaFoney's telling Digital UK whether or not he (Malone) can read a map? And getting paid for it?

RPM furthermore, whoever is planning this venture MUST lurk on here, so if you can read this then you're gay.
He does and he is.
You'd think that he'd think twice, being as this forum has 1000 members and there has yet to be a word in favour of him or his enterprises posted.

Im no expert on marketing but the only thing they mention is the price and that puts me off right away. Not that Im tight, the bikes in my garage go from £600 up to £3.5k in value, but it makes me feel that theyre just after the shekels.
Also back in the day (love that phrase , makes me feel "street") the Old kent Road was a shithole, which doesnt sound good image wise unless its been transformed since I last projjd down it?

Actually, he's only been here the once.He whispered me about the Witcomb fiasco.
You'd think he'd pay attention to his potential customers...

It seems to me like someone's trying to turn cycling, fixed wheel cycling in particular, into some elitist past-time; normal i.e poor people can have one of his oldkuntroad bikes, while the better people will probably be recommended a nice "cheap-to-those-that-can-afford-it" Witcomb.
I know that bikes in general go from the pathetically cheap to the ludicrously expensive, but at least you get what you pay for. With this lot it sounds like you just get a load of social-climbing reward points and an over-priced bike.
I think he should be kicked in the bollocks, he's making a mockery of cyclists. -

So what you're saying is that he's trying to create the Rapha of bikes from the staple frames from the Witcomb stable. And then put on cheap components and over-price them to cash-in?
Sounds like a good idea. What say we actually set up Old Cunt Road cycles and just buy Old Kent Road cycles and add £400 to them?
