Interesting that they produce...Reynolds.
Pretty sure that when Reynolds launched their first wheels they made a virtue of having KT hubs, a well regarded Taiwan OEM presumably being considered a safer bet than a new boutique brand.

I had some swim jammers and two base layers sneak out yesterday, surprised but pleased.
Was fun while it lasted.

One of my insulated trail shirts was refunded, and one is out for delivery. I do not know which size was refunded...
The medium arrived and is a great fit. Such wow, very nice.

1 more order arriving today, and two others still in processing.

It has to be said that, contrary to the title, Wiggle in administration have very much not been Nobs.
Some weird pricing on some of the remaining stock - e.g. a 32t Ultegra cassette is £63, available for £54 elsewhere.

And in all of this good people lost their jobs. That the company has gone bust having made so much money during Covid is an absolute disgrace and should be investigated, but of course it won’t.

surely the writing was on the wall for lots of bike shops that did mega money during the COVID bike boom?
it was never sustainable.
90% of the people who bought bikes so they could do their 'daily exercise' were never going to be repeat customers. they've gone back to exactly what they were doing before and driving to the shops while the bikes are unloved in the shed.
I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but this really wasn't that difficult to foresee.I almost feel like the vultures buying up all the stock are the ones being nobs (I have also bought so am guilty) as we're all so stocked up on cheap spares that we probably don't need to buy anything for months, meaning the still in business shops are going to feel the squeeze.

in business shops are going to feel the squeeze.
How is that different from Wiggle still being in business and undercutting everyone else?
If they didn't shoot themselves in the foot with the website and hadn't lost their finance
they still would be the behemoth hated by all the independent shops.
The issue after Brexit will now be finding places that have actual stock. There are very few
places like SJS but usually at double the price of what the stuff costs in Europe.
You can't even find components in stock on the websites of the large manufacturers for their own bikes. -

did they go out of business because the website was shit? or because they had grown exponentially during COVID and the business wasn't sustainable?
or the investors/backers took the profits while they were there and then pulled out when they weren't? -
• #1471
As I understood it they got the Signa group investors based on their booming Covid business
but the Signa group itself got into trouble and pulled the finance. -

Was fully expecting it to have been cancelled following the chat here, but I've just got a notification that an order I placed on March 11th has finally shipped.
-
• #1473
Haven’t had an email, but my order from 11 March is now showing as shipped and there is an Evri tracking number.

• #1474
I'm still getting served Wiggle ads on social media, which just seems odd.
