Hammer and screwdriver mate, just use a bit of folded up paper on the end of the screwdriver to prevent damaging the lock ring too much.

Or you could use the right tool for the job and not run the risk of chewing the shit out of the lockring or stripping the thread.

Where can I pick one of those up, also, will I need one with a chain whip? Or are those just used for freewheels? (As you can tell i've never switched sprockets before)
