I think we need to look at the safety aspect of us all cycling home shitfaced.
Possibly have a sobriety test, if failed people can crash (sleep) at my place rather than going on long journey home and crashing en route.
We seem to be getting a couple on injuries a month, and much as I hate you all, if you are dead I have less people to be rude to.
Im not falling for that one again you dirty old touching bastard..I only live round the corner

You westies sure know how to throw a good party. Good pub, what a nice find.
Favourite random overheard quote from the evening:
"Our rims touched..."

+1.
Not to be a killjoy but in all seriousness it is only a matter of time before somone has an accident after a forum bash that is more serious than mine was. Given the physical nature of our lifestyle there are other factors at play apart from the drinking, like not eating and general fatigue/tiredness. All together this makes for a potentially lethal combination as I have found out the hard way.
I have never been more concious of what I am doing both on the road and in the pub.
For sure have a blast and enjoy yourself, but remember you've gotta get home too - so you can make it back again next week for more shenanigans.
Ride safe peeps...

hope you got home ok, the cabby seemed a good chap.
Yep, cabby was a cyclist too (he's done that charity run to Brighton) - he was insisting on taking me to the hospital, but eventually took me home and even brought my bike inside.
I'm very very sore today and face wise - I look like Golota after being punched by Tyson.
Thank you again for all your help. I'm really glad I decided to cycle in a group. I promise not to touch the spokes while riding again! -

if in doubt, get checked out.
how did the mrs react to you turning up in that state??

• #12671
ok
am imagining that Kris probably is not in the most comfortable state right now
can anyone else (with a car) help pick up the decks and drop them at my place
NB to Esmeralda or anyone else, please carry the cases flat, there is nothing locking the turntables in place in the flight cases.
