yep that was sweet. what about the b/s smith to tre flip?? That kid's got pop and tech. Wow, very good. Also, a hubba hit - don't see that in vids much these days. -

Still my favorite video part . .

WELCOME TO HELL!
I like Ed T's section in that vid. Only 1 x flip (kickflip) in his whole section, the rest all so creative - 5050 bigspin out on flat bar at 100 miles an hour is his best bit IMHO.

The whole WTH vid is sick, i think i was 18 when it came out, was a bit burned on skating as i wasn't down with the whole 3 trillion flips small wheels thing (mainly cos i couldnt do it!) and it totally reignited my love of skating . . the combo of The Maiden and Jamie T was perfection at the time.

http://www.itvlocal.com/london/bobs/ take a look at film number 5 on here if you get a chance. It's a simple but effective film making an excellent point: skateboarding helps keep young men out of violent criminality... 'Rollin On'. Its by an Italian Londoner called Paola, Winstan helped her film it. Vote for it if you can please!
Thanks,
Skully -

Does anyone remember the FTC skate shop video. About 93/94? Best sound track ever - Sly & Family Stone, Stevie Wonder. There was a lovely section skating down the hills of SF. That's more my kind of skate music...

SkullyI voted but as usual ITV's crap website did not allow me to watch the video. Daily Mail TV has such a shit website.

Yeah couldnt get the vid to work either
That FTC vid, was it a red slip case with FTC in big white letters, vaguely remember summin like that. Im a sucker for anything shot on black n white film in the streets of NY or SF with a jazz/soul soundtrack love that shit.

Cheers Tommy, It looked like it wasn't gonna play anything but its actually busy loading all the films before it'll play anything at all, then plays the whole list autmatically. Persevere, if you care. Some of the other entries are good too.

Are you thinking of FTC's Penal Code? Spent far too long trying to ape Puleo's/ Huf's steez in the estates of small town Kent. Needless to say I didn't even come close.
I've always had a soft spot for shop videos; they always felt like they bridged the gap between local skating and the pro's...until Wonderful Horrible Life came along and made it clear that it was time to give up once and for all!

I still have my original VHS of the Animal Chin and Ban this . . . shame i dont own a video :(
there's empirical evidence of switch, but I don't believe it died for my sins, that's all.
