Can't remember where I saw it but people on here have suggested some secure outdoor storage lockups instead of your standard shed for the security reasons. I would UTFS or google it. Will post it if I remember.

Storing bikes inside the flat would have have a significant affect upon S-1 (where S=number of bikes that would cause divorce, of course). Hense, this should be avoided if possible.

On a more serious note, amongst your many considerations might be would a thief, upon gaining entry to the shed, be able to work away overcoming whatever other security measures that you choose, unseen?
Lighting and an alarm (as per previous post) may help here.

There are these kind of sheet steel lockers:
Which can be found at www.asgardsss.co.uk
I have zero experience of these things however, and would counsel a bit of research into the various options.

Is there a hallway bike stand which doesn't require mounting the ends to the floor or ceiling?
-
• #309
Halfrauds do a couple but they have wiiiiiiiide bases for stability so I hope you've got a lot of hallway space.

The Cycloc/grooved shelf style ones or one of the pedal brackets.

There's also this one, first time I've seen it but it looks like it doesn't need to be screwed in anywhere (sproingy base): http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_952599_langId_-1_categoryId_242557
That gravity rack cake posted looks ace.

Yeah, they're pretty good. Just don't have a need for it at the mo.

Also by GearUp:
It's been updated with metal brackets for the bikes though. £149 on Amazon
Never hung a full bike on mine, but then I haven't screwed the top plate into a ceiling joist either. Seems incredibly sturdy and looks v. nice. No drilling required here.

Looks proper smartThanks dude. Yeah the top one requires the use of a stool but we have one kicking around anyway; the walls and cupboards are so high in this place!

Don't much like the idea of having my spangly crabon top tube sitting on that length of rail. Not for $1500, anyhow.
Oh, and put one of these on your chainring
