I really need to sort bike storage in my garage so I can fit the car back in there. I tried Cyclocs but all my bikes have too wide handlebars to work properly.
Judging from a quick search in the thread, it looks like pedal mount works best, but just wanted to check in case there were any other suggestions I missed.
It's a single width council lockup garage, I need to fit a small car in there, and also 4 bikes. Not tall enough to stack them 2 high on the wall, so I'm thinking 3 on pedal mounts, 1 leant against the car.

Assuming it's not high enough to hang them from the ceiling, and it's not long enough to put them vertically on the back wall, then I think pedal mounts are a good option. If they're clipless pedal drop-bar bikes, then it might even be worth making your own as I found a standard one leant my bike at more of an angle than was necessary. I shortened the platform so I could get the bars as clost to the wall as possible.

Vertically on the back wall would be very cool, but I've got a few shelves that I'm going to be taking down and replacing with racking for storage.
Although now you've said that, I've got big wooden 50:50 doors rather than a metal vertically opening door, so there might be an option to hang them vertically on the garage door that I haven't considered. Thanks for mentioning that otherwise I wouldn't have thought about it!

How wide is the garage?
I have 5 or 6 bikes hung up vertically on the side wall towards the back of my garage, which fit next to my boxster. They are far enough back that I can get out ok and high enough that the bars etc are above the back of the car.

That is much wider than mine, there's no way I can do that.

I'm looking at buying an Asgard Access, second hand.
My complication is that the only place i can conveniently put it covers part of a manhole cover.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how stupid an idea is that?

I got a wall of pedal mounted bikes in my flat. If you have too wide handlebars fitting 3 bikes could be a struggle, I'd say 60-70cm max before it goes through the spokes of the bike above.

Depending how much it covers the manhole it’ll be fine. Raise the shed off the ground a bit on some blocks so that you can get the lid out and a drain rod down and I wouldn’t worry to much. I’m obviously assuming it has a solid metal floor, if not can you put the shed over the manhole completely? You don’t need much clearance.

In our last place I had my Guv’nor hanging above the sofa in the kitchen on one of those pedal mounts with under tyre support. I got it from eBay for about £10. The Guv’nor is not a light bike, but it is rock solid. I’ve now got it in the hallway in the new place, I didn’t realise quite how far it stuck out. I think I need to reangle/bend it to bring it closer to the wall and more upright.

Due to odd shift patterns I sometimes need to leave a bike at work over night, but there’s isn’t anywhere to leave it so…
Straight bars, a shorty stem and a couple of spanners, and it now fits in the cleaner’s cupboard, hung on a hook.

The machine thread ones are to use with my flashy monorail and four wheeled carriages with brackets.
I've got the hooks, waiting for some money before ordering the rail and carriages - I'll post a photo when it's all installed

What rollers were you thinking of buying?
I have a ton of bearings horded and was thinking about doing a run of rollers to suit the track you shared.

Rolling Center (sic) 4 wheeled carriage with brackets
I've got so much stuff to hang up and move up and down on my monorail. I think that I'll have two sides of the garage with it installed

When I started to sort out my garage I bought two delta Dali pivoting hooks as a test to hang my bikes with. They do the job great, but when I got organised enough to buy more they were impossible to acquire. I have managed to get two more from some random suppliers but it feels like they were the last two this side of the Atlantic. Can anyone with superior google-fu find me two more?! Or find another hook that folds to the right in a similar fashion.
