Have they redesigned it to make it less likely to be prised open from the top/back? Attached is how I found mine one day.
I pressed it back together, and put a blob of superglue on threads/nuts of each bolt inside and then drilled out the hex part of the top of each bolt. (The bikes inside were locked with a huge chain and the whole thing is very securely bolted to the floor it stands on.

Worth trying Bikmo, they cover the Bikehangars if within 500 m of your house.

Still enjoying my SteadyRacks.

I've got the Cyclehoop Vertical Racks which seem fine if you've no mudguards.
There's no locating dip like on the steady racks so bikes can flop a bit left to right.

I recently "hacked" an Ikea Ivar into a vertical hanging storage thing. We already have a couple elements in the study and just added an extra 42cm wide module next to it.
Fit shelf in lowest and highest position, sturdy hook from hardware store in top shelf coated with inner tube and electrical tape, spare shelf for rear tire so bike does not fall through. done
If you have enough space, the Ivar system is ideal for a custom built rack

I miss Stolmen

Ta. It's for a tourer with guards, so would need to have their SteadyRack Fender model - have you got any of those?
-
• #1285
Yeah. Four of them. No bikes with guards at the moment but just covering my ass since they take bikes without guards just fine.

Hi all, I have been put in charge to pick the bike rack/storage system for our new office.
Here are some constraints:- Cost <2k +VAT
- 12 bike spaces
- Sheltered on 3 sides (or at least just the top)
- Free standing (does not require base fixing or wall tying)
- Take as little space as possible (vertical solution ideally)
- Needs to come as one package with no additional contractor work (we'll do the required assembly)
At the moment the best option is this: https://www.bikedocksolutions.com/the-semi-vertical-rack-shelter-12-bikes
Any other ideas? I need to finalize this by Monday.

That won't be less than £2K.
Bikedocksolutions are currently dissolved, we used to have many issues with them not fulfilling orders.
You'll struggle to get that for that budget.
Maybe try shelter expert

Darn!

Do you have a way to back that up? I need to show it to the management here

Try cycle design associates.
Budget is unrealistic though for an office environment.

yeah, the budget is only for a temporary solution, we will refurbish the whole courtyard with a better-more permanent-solution, with locker rooms and showers

Concrete base in the shed; what is the recommended ground anchor?

If anyone is interested in an off white cycloc bike hanger let me know - yours for £15 if collected from SW9 region!

More floor anchor questions - I have one of those shed base kits and I want to fit a floor anchor around that.
Is it a daft idea to put 2 u locks and cement part of them into the ground so they stick through the holes? Anyone tried such a thing?

I'd love to install or build an outdoor storage solution on to this lightly sloped concrete slab that essentially is the roof of the lower ground floor shed/meter room.
What do folks recon is the best way to go about it?

Fantastic area..just depends on various factors.. how many bikes and how secure you need it

Is your property on the left or on the right in the picture?
Sheds get broken into a lot (not news), and this location looks a little obvious and exposed, but obviously I don't know the context. If it's enclosed, as the rear wall suggests, it could be quite safe.
If your house is on the left, it would probably count as an extension, and in any case check Islington's permitted development rules:
https://www.islington.gov.uk/planning/permitted-development
If your intended shed size isn't allowed under this, you'd have to submit a planning application.
It could be complicated more if you live in a conservation area.

I'm running out of space in my pent shed. What would be the best way to hang my bikes verically, with the wheels removed?
Into the roof beam or off a side wall strut beam?
I wouldn’t use one unless I could insure the bike in one, low break in rate but it does happen,
