It's funny you should mention them. I'm moving to DH risers on the GT.. all 670mm of 'em!
There is no fitting through gaps, there is only making gaps.This is, until I get smaller risers or a flat xc bar to cut down for the GT SS Resurrection.

This discussion has led me to try and ride in the drops as much as possible...
And it is fantastic. Really smooths out pedalling style, forcing your weight forward, surprisingly comfortable on sprint climbs (Pantani style) and snappy turning.
I'm having some o' them 215 deep drop to go soon
