15 years of 20 marlb reds a day - what a f**in waste of time
you won't be sorry you stopped smoking geez - sometimes it's a struggle but thats what happens when your body fights the departure of poisons
if its any help i've stopped for 18 months and with the money saved i bought a custom made titanium road bike.

That's a pretty good incentive right there...

I gave up completely for 7 months once
what a boring load of bollocks it was. but I proved to myself that I could live without alchohol
I think it's more important to learn to enjoy booze and not binge or be dependent on it, a couple of days a week teetotal doesn't hurt. but then 1-2 glasses of wine every night isn't bad for you.
I don't think it's the same as smoking, that's just pointless.

Everything in moderation.
I think moderation is the key to life, really.

lpg Everything in moderation.
including moderation.
-
• #17
ok.
instead of 'everything in moderation', how about 'nothing to excess'.
-
• #18
excess is good, just not excessively.
a good blow out once in while is a laugh, but not every weekend, it becomes too much like work

I didn't touch a drop for 5 years but unfortunately that was from age 16-21 and not 30-35. Really wish I'd swapped.

i will not be quiting the booze forever...its just to help quit the tabs, as i do love pint and a ciggie to with it is very nice........so i figure stay away from them both to help aid the process.

lpg why, are you autistic?
I am, but only in moderation.

One thing DEFINITELY worth giving up is living in a constant state of giving up stuff. Fucking exhibitionistic martyrdom.
of no booze no fags experiment ......nearly through my working day......no ciggies....yet......gritting teeth
