the track was a lot smaller than i expected, with massively steep banks >45degs.

Most, if not all, 6 days tend to be run on shorter tracks, i.e. 200 metres or less as it is meant to make the racing more exciting. Ghent is 166 metres isn't it?

i definately thought it was over 50, tried to google some info before but couldn't find anything :(

yeah, at first from the side it doesn't look much steeper than 45..

but get over the top of the turns and it's steep as!
