• I pity the commuters rolling along with 2" knobby mtb tyres inflated to a whopping 35psi..

Wait? Pity them? No I don't! What's a word for "laughing at them on the inside"? :)

I was one of them until a couple of months back :(

but I have seen the light :)

  • kowalski
tynan
Where did you get your Veloplugs™ from ?

Ben's Cycle in Milwaukie, they have a store on the bay and a website.

I hear you can find them at 53x12, a UK based store.
Can't find it !? Got an address ?

Check the cool head badge then try the link at bottom page or this to skip beer http://www.benscycle.net/

  • tynan
kowalski I've had nowt but trouble with Contis.

Because they're a bitch to fit, there's a good chance of damaging the tube when you do.

As RPM says, decent rim tape is a must. I've had a puncture cos the cheapo rubber band type failed. Conti tape is top, but I use Veloplugs which are toppermost.

Where did you get your Veloplugs™ from ?
I've got some I'm not using, was told by 53x12 they'd be fine on CXP33s, but no... maybe they only fit on Velocity rims... You puttin' them on Deep Vs?
If I were you I'd stick to non-glue rim tape... £2 Vs £14.99... No-brainer really...

They would be going on a pair of DT Dwiss 1.1s - I am up for buying yours off you, whadyareckon?

  • They're yours for a tenner inc P&P...
Dunno if they'll fit your 1.1s tho'...

  • tynan
BringMeMyFix Where did your username come from then? Just wondered, cos it's my son's name :)

It is my middle name, I am about to deliver Evans a new customer around March (well not me of course but my girlfriend) - and we are thinking about 'Tynan' as a name !!!!

I thought I was the only one !
My wife searched the National Statistics database after we'd chosen the name, and it had only been used as a first name about 40 times in the last 25 years. What with the media attention and hit-count that this site attracts, it's now bound to become the latest nomenclaturial phenomenon :S

Good luck with the last 1.5 trimesters!
