i hate it when people photograph their bikes against graffiti (or an industrial backdrop like this guy has in another photo)
like its a reflection of the riders personality or something............my bikes bad!!

  • or a vain attempt to make another picture of a bike interesting. mr copper pipe failed in this instance.

  • im going to photoshop my bike into a nuclear testing zone............see how bad that makes it look

  • Anyone got any of the badmeaningood cd mixes? They're fuckin' ace.

  • RPM well if you've got wood you should use it

    amen to that

  • photoben Anyone got any of the badmeaningood cd mixes? They're fuckin' ace.

    I have. agreed.

  • jonny
velocity boy
tallsam OMG today's FGG is on fire!

    Frame mounted brake FTL

    That's ridiculous.
i recall our very own SuperTed had a frame mounted brake on an old pug some time ago
Holy shit that garden is tiny! Saying that I don't even have a garden.

im amazed ted rote that.....your be luck to get a grunt out of him these days

  • ah bloody hell what a load of fuss. trying to explain things on a bloody forum is hard and time consuming,so due to my computer lazyness I give up trying to get my thoughts across! until they have a doodle function so i can do little diagrams to aid my shite descriptions!
mmm just had a mincepie, damn they are good.

    Really? Cool.

  • asm 49-16 gearing too... I guess its a good aggressive gear for time-trialling to work every day!

Flatlander has his brake mounted behind the forks too... not sure why?

I like it mounted round the back.

  • oooh matron.

  • The best looking thing ive seen on fgg, cant beat white really can you, maybe powder blue, but thats a bit fairy like

  • obligatory ¨slack chain¨ comment.

  • Obligatory "ridiculous saddle to bar drop implies this bike doesn't fit its owner properly" comment.

  • Obligatory Michaelangelo's 'The Creation' comment.

Also, a quick side note on the 'No Brakes!' sticker. Those come as standard on the Swobo Sanchez, which is sold without brakes.

My guess is the owner (after scribbling the names of places he's ridden on the handlebars, WW2-bomber-pilot-style) added a brake to prevent his death, but is somehow of the misguided opinion that riding sans brake is 'cool' and has left the sticker on in anticipation of the glorious day when he can remove the caliper and lever and join the hallowed ranks of the brakeless. Perhaps he keeps it covered with the top-tube pad and is hoping to one day tear the pad off, like Clark Kent in a phone-booth, to reveal that he does, in fact, have NO BRAKES!!

    Or not.

    it's not a swobo, it's a bianchi pista ;)

  • tallsam

    Um...

  • bianchi pista's have them from factory in that location, swobo's don't

  • I don't want to get into a silly internet argument over a sticker, but the Swobos I looked at here in the US all came with that sticker, as did my Fuji Track and as do pretty much all American bikes sold without a stock brake.

My guess is that, due to the litigious nature of this wonderful country, the manufacturers all use them to avoid lawsuits from idiots that buy brakeless bikes, with no clue how to ride them, and then look for someone to blame when they fail to stop at a junction and end up sliding over the bonnet of a car.

    ohh go on!

  • I have an electro harmonix sticker on my bike, but contrary to popular belief, my bike cannot be used as an effects pedal for an electric guitar. There - argue over that!
