Best: sold (don't ask me how) a San Marco Rolls saddle for £102;
Worst: 1) sold a Gipiemme track chainring for 7p, a pair of (good) Look pedals for 55p and a pair of Time Impact pedals for... £2.90!
2) after 6 months building a touring bike, decided to sell it :(
3) left my Specialized Decibel helmet on my gf's bike handlebars, the bike did fall down and crashed the helmet :/
4) broke the axle spindle of a Crank Brothers Triple Ti pedal and didn't get any reply from Crank Bros in America;
5) found a crack on both sides of my old Campagnolo Record pista cranks;
6) did wait over one year to receive a box of CXP30 rims, only to find they were all tubulars! -

Got a complete bike for quite cheap, frame is my size and it looks really cheap and rubbish... but works fine tho! And less likely to get stolen than the Brian Rourke...
The Time frame... got from eBay, of course!

Best:
EtxeOndo shorts - the most comfortable, most arse-massaging shorts I've ever owned. Brought every pair the shop had
Montane Featherlite Velo jacket - shrugs off showers, keeps me warm on cold or windy mornings, and yet packs down to a tiny size and weighs nothing
Brooks Team Pro Ti - once I'd got it soaking wet and ridden for 50 miles it moulded to me, and now it's the most comfortable thing in the world. Spend some time getting the height, setback and angle correct
My dark blue Merckx MX Leader. Really stupendously lovely, even better than the Corsa Extra I used to have
Merino - keeps me warm, dry and smelling nice
Worst:
A rather well-known eBay seller and writer who sold me what seemed like a very reasonably-priced road bike, on which every single part was broken, worn out or otherwise rotten
Cannodale Le Carbon shorts. Really horribly uncomfortable, chafed my bits no end
Continental inner tubes - both of them punctured within 50 miles, replaced them with my old Decathlon £1 jobbies and they seem fine
A big mail-order firm taking my order, sending half of it, then e-mailing a week later to say the rest of it was never coming because they didn't have it in stock and couldn't get it

BEST:

WORST:

right at the risk of sounding like a soppy old git...
best money spent on bike bits this year
small donation i made using the button to the left to this forum.Thro the forum learnt more about bikes than is probably healthy, been on some great night rides, met loads of good people, watched loons on bikes do things that make my arthritic old knees wobble at the mere thought, can roll down clerkenwell road and nod at people on fixies that i know [well it makes a change from talking to strangers in Aldi] helped some pierced nutjob get a brand name and identity for his grobags. its been good.
//of course, you're still all a bunch of...//

such a shame they charged him that much for pretty much the same bike as my Fuji Track.
Yeah, could you see my jealous eyes light up when you explained how you got that TIME? Lucky bugger!! :)
Not using the Rourke? Why not? Got other plans now?
