The full monty! Miche Primato crank etc....really nice looking frames, no decals except on the bottom tube. They had a nice black one in the window, saw a fella down Herne Hill the other week on a nice sky blue one and some doris going up Brixton Hill the other day on a baby pink one....

I'm at college there, at Camberwell. I go past that shop every day. I like the sign.

The Camberwell Green end of Walworth Rd, on the left, can't miss it.
I used to live in Camberwell years ago, absolute shit'ole and is indeed rough, especially late at night around the Mcdonalds. I've seen kids chasing each other round there with knives! WTF!?

Ahhh good old College of Arts - I used to live in Vestry Rd just a bit further down on opposite side of road. You should try going for a drink in The Cadleigh, top of Bushey Hill Rd, opposite the college. Wicked pub run by a lovely Irish couple, Dermot & Mary.

Edwardes is technically my LBS.
They CAN be really useful - they helped me loads with my first build, and have a good range of 'hard to find' components.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of guys there whose customer care attitude can rival even Condor, and I have been mis-sold a few bits and bobs in the past. Prefer Brixton Cycles for specific advice and general bonhemie.

Sorry, I only joined here last week....
The miserable 'market trader thug' is called Clark and although coming across rude and not making eye contact for about 3 minutes of chatting he seems to know his stuff and helped me with a few things I needed

Mate lived in Camberwell and used to visit a lot. No probs. Say hi to Steve in the T bar. :)
No idea where Edwardes is but there's a shop on John Ruskin St. with loads of shitters out front. Never had a close look at any though. -

I been there a few times and they were always nice and friendly, and always under-charged me services like face a crown race etc.
They also have a nice mix beetwen cheap-but-useful stuff/fixed gear/high-end road stuff...

Only bad experience of Edwardes I'm afraid. Completley tried to rip me off. I guess it must have been that little scrotum Clarke or whatever his name is.
Lived in Camberwell for two years now. It;s a bit moody but you've just as much chance of getting robbed anywhere else in London.

I have allways found them (Edwardes) to be helpful and a good place for a deal they have a good amount of fixed/ss stuff in stock including a good range of frames.

i really liked edwardes the couple of times i've been in there. Camberwell on the other hand could be nice but i always have found it a shithole. If you want to get killed on a nightbus its a good place to hang out. I like to think i've been over lots of london but camberwell is the only place i have so much nasty stuff happen, including a guy having his eyeball sliced open by a woman using a pair of sunglasses.

4am, bus stop towards peckham at camberwell green.
Although I've lived down the road for over 10 years I've only just paid my first visit - shame on me!
Some nice bits and pieces in there. They do their own custom built bikes too, £659 all in.
As you were.....
