This is about 10 minutes walk from Euston http://www.whitemustache.co.uk/ with a reasonable beer garden (as far as London beer gardens go). Relatively recently opened so not too busy yet

I've passed both these suggestions on, thanks both.

Any suggestions for a pub around QPR that lets away fans in?
Last year we were relegated to Belushi's which wasn't good.

The Pavilion is a fond favourite of mine but I know it's a QPR pub so...

if you don't mind a bit of a bougie gastro pub atmosphere, go do the princess victoria, bit further of a walk, but nice environs...

East Finchley 11th Feb 8pm The Bald Faced Stag!!!!
Bumping this just to remind folks that we are kicking off (literally maybe!) in The Bald Faced Stag in E Finchley (outside the tube station) on Thursday 11th Feb at 8pm. Last week in Balham Bowls Club we debated Trident Without Nuclear Warheads and Unmanned Supermarket Checkouts. The latter got very lively! Join us with friends. Listen or take part. And vote too!

Dredge.
My office is moving to Moorgate / Liverpool Street area. What are good old man pubs to go to around there? Think The Harp in Covent Garden for inspiration.

The Gun is gone. sob
Waterpoet isn't an old man pub but it's got decent food and decent beer choice, outside bit and a pool table.
Williams Ale and Cider House is good for beer choice.
For misery in a box there's a 'spoons in the station.

Waterpoet is a good one. Most of the decent pubs seem to be east of Bishopgate for sure.

You reminded me. There are some up around Scrutton Street that are more old man boozer.
Can't remember but one had a pub cat.

There's the Fox but I think it might be the Old Kings Head I'm thinking of...

Also, over near Whitecross St, there's one ON Whitecross where you can eat market food in and there's a Fullers pub around the corner, probably called something to do with guns. It's near the cemetary/HAC thing.

The Lord Aberconway gets some interesting beers in and I quite like the stock Nicholsons Pale anyway.
fair few wetherspoons in that area too.
-

Ah, yeah, good call. They had a decent selection when I was there 12months ago. Also do decent selection of either pies or burgers, can never remember which. #liquidluncher

Nice, thanks
It's not really my definition is it? I guess start with 'any' then I can pass the list on for them to refine.
