Me neither. I'm also on a green fix with off-white panels, bizarrely, but it's a Gillott. Also a green Langster or a Scott geared road bike or a Giant MTB.

No, thought about a respray/refurb, but like the 'patina' that has built up over 42 years, and thought I'd cry if I had it very carefully and expensively restored, then scratched it.

So it was a green/white Gillott you saw at Vaz's? There are some pix of mine on here - do a forum search for 'Gillott' and it'll come up. You'll see it locked up in Southfields outside the French deli, or the Italian deli, or the Olive Garden, or the fish and chip shop, or the pub....

spotted a guy on a brown langster with flatbars cruising down newington causeway/borough high street towards london bridge direction has 2 fgss spoke cards in the back wheel doesn't seem to like talking. me the guy on the blue brakeless steel conversion with drops who decided to leave you alone and sped past.

Spotted a bloke with ulrta-ultra-ulrta narrow flat bars going south at the bottom of Grays Inn Road, I mean really really narrow, less than a grips width each side. He seemed perfectly cool with it s he sped along.

This kind of thing - bar was no wider than the space between the red lines - (ignore the random internet bike picture, just for illustration):
