  • At The London Classic; everyone.

    No, really, everyone.

    Which was nice.

  • Just remembered - think I spotted hats, around 5 on Farringdon Rd, near Smithfields market.

Yesterday? If so, then yes, that was me. Where were you?

  • Yesterday, yes. I was cycling in the opposite direction, on Farringdon Road, with a massive wheel bag on my back.

  • Erik and his lady friend traversing a ped bridge an hour or so ago in Hackney Wick. You were on you HHSB and did not oblige to our skid request (I was walking with 1000aa).

  • Someone in Somerset House gave me a confusingly cheery greeting as I squelched my way in today. Not JB, because he's too cool for the lower floors now. Anyone else on here, there?

  • Guy on a Silver Tokyo Fixed S2 riding fixed through Angel and through down to Margery Street and beyond.... Nice ride Sir. Hi Hi if you're on here, or not.

  • A chap on a silver Cincelli (I think) just turning left at the bottom of Pond Street to go up South End Road towards Hampstead Heath 5 minutes ago. I was the umbrella wielding ped

  • Green surly, forum cap, on way towards clapham junction past clapham common yesterday evening. I waved, vaguely wondering if I knew you.

  • I've sent 3(?) emails last year and there was no replies to any of them.

Oh. Hopefully you'll get one soon. Seems like no-one had been looking after for it for a while - there's probably a fairly big backlog..

Was chatting to the guy who looks after the storage on Saturday. He gets so many emails he doesn't always reply but your name does get added to the list. Apparently there are 100 names on the list at the moment. 10 spaces recently came free and of the first 10 people he emailed only 1 has got back to him asking for a space. About 6 hadn't got back to him at all and he was going to give them another week before moving on again down the list. So, if you're near the top of the list, you could be in luck pretty soon, but if you're near the bottom of the list, you probably won't...

All going well, construction on the new pavilion could start later this year which would create a load more bike storage by next summer.

    If that helps.

  • Thanks for that. Fingers crossed.

  • Burly chap on a Cinelli Vig Southwark bridge 6pm Northbound. LFGSS Hat.

Me: burly chap De Rosa "LMNH" Bibs South bound

    Too slow to DAS!

  • Ludd going past my road near Asda on OKR as I stood waiting to get out into the traffic. Would have shouted but it seemed like a slightly sketchy moment to be diverting your attention.

Then Chung much further down clearly engaged in riveting conversation with a fellow commuter. Didn't spot you til you were past due to traffic.

    Hiiiiiiiii both.

Hope everyone had a fab sunny cycle this morning, I know I did ^_^

  • sorry not to have spotted you seraphinx

did I look every bit as daft as I felt riding on that yellow monstrosity? headwind is a pain when you're sitting bolt upright but it makes for a more sociable ride - except when I fail to spot forumengers

  • Possbily Miss Mouse heading towards New Cross this morning? And then the courier with the homemade white carbon bike and crazy white carbon boomerang bars at Somerset House.

  • It would have been very difficult even if you had been looking I reckon, it's a funny junction with a tight turn so you have to wait quite far back from the road. Don't think you looked daft at all (though I did have to have a good squint to make extra sure it was you on the unexpected steed). In fact the sunny yellow matched the morning rather appropriately I thought :)

  • I don't do much riding in town at the moment, so I apologise if this is a stupid question, but does anyone know why Southwark Bridge is getting all the big heavy unpleasant traffic at the moment? It's usually quite quiet, but now seems to be getting fucked with everyone cutting through from Borough area.

  • I was wondering the same - I usually cross on Walterloo Bridge but I'm sick and tired of the congestion at the north end (even though it's really close to work) so I came over Southwark today. Huge tipper trucks thundering across the bridge. Are they also trying to avoid the wqterloo Bridge problems, or is it just a large number of major construction sites in action at the moment?

  • waterloo underpass is closed? That'd do it.

  • I thought it might be to do with waterloo bridge too. Think I'll try blackfriars tomorrow morning. the congestion isn't too bad when I ride over it at 7:20 ish, but later than that is terrible

  • There's an easy solution to the busy bridges.

    Live north of the river.

  • Oh, hai mon

  • nice roll in this morning through the eastern matrix with track star Shootthebreeze.

hope you get under the skin tomorrow but failing that come have a skin full - you know where we will be

  • Fuck off...

    Hiiiiiiiii

Morning! I did a late skid. Glad you enjoyed the sun. I definitely did, not so much the biting headwind but I bet you enjoyed that going the other way :)
