By the way, to get that tyre home without crimping the bead, I slid it under my backpack, which pushed it into a slightly squashed horizontal oval shape, sticking out on either side. From behind, it must have looked like the wings of a wasp or something. So I cycled home looking like the Fixed Gear Fairy. Or a fixed gear fairy - there's a lot of them about.

Stopped at the lights at the King William St interchange this morning, chap walks through the middle of the ASL and carooms his wheely luggage off my rear wheel.

I say "are you going to apologise?" as he walks on.

He says "I don't think I can reply to that politely, so no".

To which I reply, looking him in the eye, and with a great deal of sincerity, "Well, you're a massive cunt then aren't you".

He got quite cross at this point.

I think you contained yourself very well. Should have asked him if enjoyed pulling along his luggage using the handle or if he would like you to separate the the two parts for him.
