tynan, hed3 et alles going into evans yesterday.
I was looking for a 100mm Thomson stem - which I eventually got from Evans (the cut).
You should have said hello, I carry nuts for the squirrels but if you say hello I am prepared to break the rules and give people a few.
;P
Where where you ? Were you on your bike ??

Two Northern spots - Bear in mind I was in my car at the time so frame spotting was tricky, it's all I could do to spot it was fixed gear.
Newcastle ish A19 Tyne Tunnel North Side someone sporting a super orange jersey Today at 4ish
Middlesborough A19 headed north just after the bridge fly-over thingy, yellow jersey (which screamed don't hit me yer fools) and a kinda flouro orange frame. Today again about 45mins later.
Tried driving my car fixed gear just to join in but it's hard to pull away in third.Anyone ?

Bad timing ! :(
I know Jonny said he is looking to get a 110mm Thomson - maybe you can convince him to slide his saddle back 10mm and buy your 100mm ?

Ouch. It's expensive not looking where you're going.
/poor taste jokingWas he ok? What happened?
I know this guy, bumped into him at work just a minute ago and he told me what happened. He's ok, pretty banged up and pissed off but ok.
He was doing laps and some idiot did a U-turn right in front of him, leaving him unable to stop in time. He hit the car more with his body than with his bike. The bike seems to be ok, the only 'damage' was his handle bars being moved out of place. His face hit the car first, hence the large amount of blood, then his shoulder, which is pretty fucked right now. Apparently the ambulance crew didn't take any chances, he was stretchered away with full neck brace and head stabilization etc.
I've told him to get onto the solicitors anyway, even though his bike is ok, for his injuries etc.
It's great to hear that he's alright but it's a reminder that sometimes there is nothing you can do, no matter how good you are. I guess that's life though.
