Sorry for post-then-leave. This guy: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000532/
(I realised after I left that I had no idea what his name was, turns out he's not that famous? I think I was the only one that 'spotted' him)
Are you having a bubble or am I just showing my age?
I was going to attempt to write a long spotted post about some savvy gent effortlessly pedalling his way around town that would culminate in the reveal that I was staring at my own reflection in a shop window, but got a little way in and then deemed it not worth the effort.
You were right

Can't comprehend how he could afford one at all
Funny that last time before this I met him he was in an offlicence, buying cans of red stripe.
If he was driving one, doesn't really mean, that it belongs to him.

Guy in a forum cap (I think - man, I'm a shit spotter) on west end of OKR at about 4.15.
hoefla engrossed in a meeting @ LMNH and lovely Mick (mmccarthy) who I ranted nonsensically at for a brief minute over the counter (must have felt a life time for you though, sorry) - nice bike!
Hah! It's always a pleasure to chat with you no matter what the topic!

gentleman jonny anticipating the good weather of summer, with bare elbows and knees, just off kings ave. Failed attempted rolling low five, made me laugh all the way to the bottom of tulse hill..

Clapton, by Costcutter just now. Chatting away with Clara, guy rolls past on a black frame with many sticker adornments and a suitably resplendent cap - not sue which cap, glasses in bag so vision was less sharp than it should be.... Good to wave Squire.

He could definately afford to buy it. But I hope he's leasing it much more sensible. That Katy on a mission track was her karaokeing on his track so he got lions share of that.
Plus he has worked hard for years shows and touring (festivals/clubs etc) all over the world. He's not a pop idol muppet earning 20-30k a year and a clothes allowance. Most artists make their cash from the live shows not singles and albums which is where the labels recoup from.

As posted elsewhere, the bankers are just getting into them. Maybe since they're sooooooo 2007, they remind them of the good times? ;)

According to trickle down economic theory use of bikes should filter down to the masses (just like, er, use of cocaine did in 90s).
Good times a'hoy -
