Spotted...

someone shouted something that sounded like beard or burt at me as we passed on camberwell new road last night about 8.30ish in the blizzard.

looked around but couldn't see who it was.

Cube riding, Zipp roilling (although they weren't Zipps today but I thin FSA deep rims), mudguarded, Sky kit wearing dude on the OKR again this morning.

He came whirring up beside me and started chatting to me... Telling me about the burst water main on OKR and then general chit chat.. Nice bloke actually..

I think I've seen him before. I was heading south after work on OKR last month, quite content that I was making a decent clip, when he steamed past me at the same pace I was overtaking everyone else. Made me feel instantly inadequate.

What is it about cube riders.

There's the awesome guy I see sometimes opposite my work who rides a cube MTB with twin spoks and a Daschund with its head sticking out of his backpack.

He's rad.

That water main site was impressive with two lanes of tarmac gently peeled away from the road and a cracked central reservation.

SE London travel is going to be fucked up for a while.

Some one who looked a little like Ed Scoble on Aldwych, who saw me almost getting ploughed down by a car that decided to pull into my lane without looking and told me I should have taken their wing mirror off. I couldn't because my girlfriend was just behind me, I get told off for getting annoyed. Even for people who are trying to kill me.

Saw a guy riding a Ti frame almost exactly like the one pistoffski is selling atm (with a red chris king and easton fork) trackstanding on the chelsea embankment around 7pm last night. Wearing sidis and cycle cap, someone from lfgss surely?

Not really as I live 5 minutes walk away, time gained by cycling is lost by putting on spd shoes and packing another pair and getting the bike out of my room and out the house. Not much of a commute.

You're a proper cyclist if you get out of breath from running a five-minute walk. :)

I had a lovely ride into work with Skydancer this morning. Had to make sure I was riding safely to try and impress him. I think I failed!
