Someone in a forum cap going along the road on the inside of Hyde Park near the Royal Albert Hall at 1.40ish.
I looked at the cap, recognised cap, looked at face, didn't recognise face, opened my mouth to shout something anyway but then got flustered and nearly shouted "HAT!!!" instead of "DAS!!!" by which time the moment had passed.
i always do this, i end up shouting random stuff like "BIKE PERSON YES!!" or normally just "FIIIIIIXXXEEEDDD!!!"

Could be worse Jenne. I was on a ride with Katie-Coo recently and she was on the receiving end of a "Show us your fanny!" from a bunch of bored teenage girls in a village.
I'm fairly certain they were taking to Kate and not me...
That is HILARIOUS! (sorry, K-C)

Group of fixie skidder types hooting and hollering while RLJing Dalston junction at high speed earlier tonight. I was being a good boy, waiting for the lights while generally failing at trackstanding.

guy on a orange frame, brakeless. Opposite Tesco on Kingsland road 2pm. I was the guy having a fag next to you admiring your bike.
That'd be me I think. On a new shiny frame as my regular steed is being repaired. I'll be back to being invisible soon

Finally spotting a forum jersey last night, I was ready to attempt my first ever DAS (on CS7, going through Balham). However, some youth types shouting at me confused me a bit, and then there never seemed to be a good time. What is the optimum time to DAS? When approaching lights? When in motion? Stationary? From very close behind their right ear? By post?
Then I got pinched off the road by some bint in a purple bubble car and my shouting at her shamed me into abandoning my attempt.
Back to lurking for me.

Oh! And then about three minutes after that, a gent on what looked like a Pista with backwards drop bars (?) and a great handlebar moustache, going past the Furzedown on Mitcham Lane.

^ I was in Balham last night, complete with forum jersey, and saw some shouting youths. What time was that?
-
• #42314
^ I'm gonna guess that was jaygee.obviously not.
-
• #42316
Yep, that was me then!
On a blue pompino, didn't have panniers but had mudguards and other sensible wintery things. Were you riding the plug? I remember the purple car nearly taking somebody out at the bec lights.
And DAS is always best when mobile - people always seem to DAS me when I'm stopped which is pretty pointless
-
• #42317
unless its a DATS
-
• #42318
true
-
• #42319
Yes I'm the girl on the Plug with no sensible accoutrements. I had one of those days where you haven't spoken in a few hours and so my voice came out really hoarse and reedy and shamed me.
Good to see you anyway. I'll DAS/DATS (depending on your velocity)/RED! you next time...

What frame is that btw?
It's a Viking(alien)
I bought it from a bloke on here as a stop gap while my other frame is repaired. It'll be back up for sale soon! -

Exchanged smiles with a girl in Clapham Sainsbury's car park last night at about 7-ish being amused by small children being amused by bike lights - you were walkengering something black (?) and either fixed or SS, short hair under a helmet, looked like you had a sorta Chrome or Mission Workshop backpack?
I was the broad with the stickered up Plug and pink LCEF cap. Yo! If you're on here!

Skully at the Brockley farmers market which featured some of the most eye gougingly overpriced meat I've ever seen. £38/kg for steak in Lewisham FFS. And "Artisan poulterers"
Thanks for the white pudding recommendation @ Wellbeloved in Deptford; he threw a bit in the bag for free for me to try :)
Good to see you, dude... Also bumped into arsen_design for the second day in a row in town... See you Sunday!
