What's with all this winter attire bollocks, it's only fucking OCTOBER FFS!!!
I wasn't wearing winter attire. I was correctly dressed for the autumnal weather.

Ah I wasn't sure whether I heard that or imagined it. I had armwarmers, but my arms were fine. had to cut short the ride due to a) losing feeling in my calves and b) rear der cable on the cusp of snapping. it is also very very windy out there :(
This isn't meant to be rude, but I had to double take it was you because the bike you were riding appeared to be relatively normal. I'm not used to this.

I was DAS'd from behind (ooer) at Camberwell Green by a trio of cheeky skidders tonight, who then chastised me softly for doing the no right turn at Coldharbour Lane. DIdn't get much of a look at you but... g'd evenin'.

The prosecution rests...
You racing on Saturday? I'll be there, hungover... Natch...

• #41682
A decent defence lawyer would point out that the prosecution's key witness wasn't totally convinced that he'd seen me. Hence his description of what I was wearing cannot be relied upon.
For the record, I was wearing a gilet, a long sleeved jersey and 3/4 length shorts.
I am racing on Saturday, 1920 in the old codgers race.

I wore my waxed Swrve to the shops the other day, had to carry it back over my shoulder... Do they design these garments in Alaska?!?!? Still love it, makes me feel like a young Steve McQueen...

Gosh, where do I start?
Pretty sure I saw a Jayloo last night, about 6pm Clapham common but said person was head to toe black, and I'm pretty sure bike was black too - no the gazelle.
Then Mr Mental Clapham south side about 20 mins later. I waved, you looked at me as if I was an idiot.Pretty sure I was in a pink top last night. Don't have a black bike. However, I do ride there and I also think I spotted Mr Mental but it would have been at the intersection where the O'Neil's is. I was heading past Souths he was heading toward the common.

Also spotted Jayloo and possibly one or two other forumengers in tow (I could have sworn I saw loic) turning across clapham common junction last night while I was waiting at the lights about 6ish.
Was disappoint when I caught up to coach and horses 2 minutes later and you hadn't stopped off. had to make do with itsbruce and catfoods' company instead.
Whut? I knew I saw a familiar face but thought it was Mr Mental. This makes no sense, though, as the dude I saw was positioned not to turn at that light for continuing on to C&H.
Edit: whut whut? forumengers in tow? Loic? is that why my rear end (ooer) feels sluggish? I swear, every time that happens I look around to see if he's grabbed my saddle bag (he is everywhere!). Either way, I think we are all having non-spots of the same people. Memory being a shaky thing, I do not recall other cyclists behind me and expect my saddle-bagged Gazelle and rear-facing bars to be obvious enough for others to say Hai! at me when and if they're riding near me.

That was 6pt, OldSkoolRacer and me, on our way to the Cambria via Champion Hill for all-you-can-eat curry goodness. Good evening to you :)

One thing I really hate is idiots cycling on the pavement.
Ah, yes, it is of course absolutely fine for non-idiots to ride along the footway.

I did say 'hello Tom'.
I couldn't believe anyone was that mental to be out in shorts and short sleeves though.
Andy, us oldies can talk to Tom about his knees all we like, but I'm not sure we're heard. :)

Ha! I go away for the weekend and miss this slander! (or should i xander?)
Yep SockToy that is indeed mine, it makes an appearance in the carpark every now and then. It's a Zipp 1980-something ;-)
Spotted a white Dolan with HED deep rims on the front and a (pretend?) ZIP 900 on the rear... at my work! Thought I'd seen it in stolen bikes, but it was just cuddling a v-sprint.
Yep!
^ Matt OSR?
Yep again!
defo
Glad i didn't get busted for stealing your bike Dan, i can see me getting chased by the bike police next time i ride it now... should be fun. As for wank stain, wheel envy >>>>>>>>
Nice one for keeping your eyes peeled SockToy! That was my V-Sprint...
You are indeed correct that Matt rode that wank stain of a nodder bike to my flat on the night that photo was taken and my bike was stolen.Ah not been called that in a while, reminds me of Mr Mental!
Ps - Picture whore, and it only counts if you actually ride it...Screaming old skool hipster all over it.

Hah! It's actually the bike that gets all the miles - for the most part without any witnesses (reputation to uphold and all that). After our encounter I had an odd niggling feeling, like being spotted by a teacher while bunking school. Normal bike and training miles, my shameful secrets :(

Couple of spots on the way home south today. Shared some pace with a bearded fella on a geared condor on the back way behind walworth road.
Then to spot a lilac looking fixed gear pulling a child trailer around the maze which now is burgess park. Must be someone on here.

spotted an amazing endo last night on SN Church St- it was "epic". Rider of a multi-coloured Joe Waugh went fully over the handebars but got up giggling. I KNOW she's on here...
also Fox on Commecial Road doing a lovely bit of filtering on the right, at about 10 to 7 this evening

Apologies Ms chromed Charge Plug(?) this morning for stopping so suddenly behind that bus in Camden. I was going to nip down the inside but thought better of it at the last minute. I didn't see how near you came to me rear wheel, but you made it sound close.

Joe's forgotten where his extremities are...
Yeah, guilty of typing far too rapidly while making a fresh brew and on the phone at the same time. Shan't try that again as I've clearly caused confusion and dispair! haha. Long story short, a peddlar pulled off TCR just by the side of Starbucks opposite Heals, he was clearly ready to step off the bike and walk across the courtyard, when a part time rozzer collars him for 'riding on a pedestrian highway'..... No pedestrians within striking distance, but the rozzer just wanted a collar.......... Properly unfortunate.......
apologies for the earlier crapness in English.........
