  • Rowhan on Clapham High St. as all the shops were being shut / boarded up (about 4pm)

  • Tibbs. All the way from Kennington. Until the lights of Brixton Hill separated us....

  • samuelson at st. george's circus this morning

  • Tibbs. All the way from Kennington. Until the lights of Brixton Hill separated us....

    heartbreaking moment.

I can see the feature film now:

They met, as two lone cyclists in a post riot london.
They rode, silently admiring the other, words exchanged only lightly conveying the excitement of companionship.
And then as they approached the Hill, as quickly as they had come together, they parted, tearful and remorseful, hoping that tomorrow would bring another chance to ride.

  • I think I'm in love...saw a girl with blond dreads, riding along Theobalds Road towards Hipster Highway at about 4.30pm.

Riding something italian or french, pearlescent white, with deep black rims, riding brakeless, doing beautiful little skids and trackstanding so unbelievably gracefully, you'd think she was just standing

  • Silver cannondale track heading up abbey road towards Kilburn.

Sorry, but I've got a girlfriend...

  • Sorry, but I've got a girlfriend...

Nah, person Poots mentioned had a head of hair.

  • An assortment of Brixton Cycles employees and beach bums, relaxing on a sofa perched on the edge of Brixton beach. Just relaxing on a fine summer evening, or guarding the store?

  • ^ i saw that. smoking fags like they're ALL bosses. which apparantly they are.

  • They are all bosses:
    This from their website
"OK, the nitty gritty. How do we run/roll? Every Tom, Dick and Harriet you see in our shop is an owner or a probationary member (one year of blood, sweat and tears and they're full members). Same pay, same say, equal rights, equal responsibilities. This freaks some folks out, especially coldcalling sales people asking for the owner."

    Co-ops rule ok

  • Girl on a light blue converted geared frame with the cassette still in situ heading west on Fulham Road around 7:30. Would have DASed but I was escaping the riots.

  • Brave on okr. Lily-livered riot avoider wasn't even in the drops. Too busy looking at boarded-up shops. Even I would have taken him at that speed.

  • Me wearing my airfix forum t-shirt spotted by Roxy when we were both being overground trainengers yesterday. Nice to meet you.

  • Some tramps huddled on benches outside the closed roebuck last night.

And then this morning between Forest Hill and Bricklayers Arms, a very slightly built fixed rider on a black frame with metallic purple wheels and bullhorns riding fast with flipflops and headphones. I wish I could make it look as easy as you did.

And the behatted chap on the black bike who did a lovely weave and skid before proceeding cautiously through the lights at Amazonas this morning - did you chuckle (as I did) at the chap who shouted out "red loight!"?

  • Aggressive looking black and yellow Lo-pro with red grips outside my office on Holloway road, that is a mean looking bike!

  • This morning:

Hillbilly trackstanding like a boss (I said hi at the London Bridge lights but you were busy chatting to someone).

Tibbs appearing out of nowhere down Brixton Road. Where you been?

  • Post a pic?

  • Samson this morning on Harrow Rd. Nice to see a familiar face on my commute.

  • Beanpie were you asking me to post a pic? I don't want to identify the bike to potential tea leaves..

  • Yes, and fair enough. I just wanted to witness the meanness (is that even a word?)

  • i think the correct word is 'nastitude'

  • angressiveness

  • Haha, it kind of looks like a wasp.

  • Cleverpun, 1820, junction of Evelyn Street and Deptford HIgh Street.

I was foot pedding on the other side of the road.

Should have waved so I still wouldn't have seen you
