pj how did you take the decals off?
Use Mangers multi purpose paint & varnish stripper, available (probably) from any leyland SDM store. Be advised, this will work on any frame but it will also strip the paint off as well (its fine if your bike is chromed, like the pista is)
The pista is clearcoated though so you need to eat through that with the varnish stripper first. I didnt bother taking the clearcoat off the whole bike, i just did it roughly to the ends of the 3 tubes with decals on them. Looks fine.

spotted: girl riding a royal blue bike, couldn't see the make, single-speed or fixed (her legs kept on going round but it was only for a few seconds while i stood and stared so may have freewheeled subsequently), she had on a yellow top and slightly longer than shoulder length hair. going down malet street about 1 hour ago, no hands on the handlebars. who was it?
nb, there are a shed load of fixed and singlespeed folk i see around here, way too many to post! -

only there is something wrong with your bike, i think i saw you freewheel on it? you need to take it back to the shop and get that fixed. -

The word "Pearson" looks a lot like "person" when you've been at work for ten hours.

ok.. so i'm not gonna mention aidan, turd ferguson, stompy, ma3k, or any of the other lfgss people who i saw tonight (there were quite a few others too). BUT i will say critical mass was fixing awesome! and a big HELLO to all the great other people who i met tonight - neil, the guy on the langster, carlie (or was it kylie?), and all the other people who i am now too hungry to remember. Welcome :)

d0cA such a comment may result in my death! Stompy wasnt joking when he said he'd kill me! Lucky i live within 4 miles radius of a hill :)
Saw estelle (hope i spelled it right) on critical mass (good crack!), i like your forks.
Also hi to the guy who fucking hates fixies & singlespeeds, who abused me on brixton road. somehow i get the feeling you regularly check this site (but obviously in secret, in a darkened room, with no clothes on. You cunt.)

pj docA - that's probably karly on her duckworth yes? australian lady? she's very nice.
that's the one!! i met her the first day i had my bike, last month: i had just got my bike *that*day and been on critical mass, riding home when i saw her. we chatted at some lights and she told me to go fixed; the next day on the docklands night ride i did! this time, again after critical mass bumped into her as i was arriving at the john snow and she was just leaving. yeah, 'twas a duckworth - named after the coronation street character, she told me. wonderful! nice bike, great girl, lotta respect and a big hello :)
now i'm off rock climbing at the castle, so i wonder how many people i'll see up there. -

no-one ever sees me.
i can only conclude, despite spending nearly every waking hour on my bicycle, that i am too fast for the naked eye.
OCD - I'm a first year at Imperial. I work in the Science Museum Waterstone's though on Saturdays to help bring some dollar in otherwise I would be a very very poor student. Although in fairness I do tend to spend the majority of money on drink or bike parts.
Yeah, first time I had seen phils in the flesh. Pretty damn shiny - bit too shiny for me, which is a good thing really because I certainly can't afford them anyway, haha. I think my pair of Goldtecs is worth the same as that single hub!
You not riding here then? Or do you mean it's in the bike storage place thing. You might see me about - usually with a massive camo PAC bag, with a black Brompton.
