  • in russell square today around 2pm girlfriend pointed out an england themed bike in the distance :

    red frame
    white saddle with red cross
small england flag trailing from seat tube

Is that not just Richard Barnbrook on his way to City Hall?

  • Saw a guy on a nice matte black Bob Jackson on Clapham Common this morning, I don't know why I didn't say anything to him..he had a black Rapha top on. Nice looking bike. I followed him down Cedars Road and Queenstown Road.

I also saw a guy on a pink bike with a single pink deep V.

    Loads of people out today.

  • Loads of people out today.

Yeah, too many fucking people if you ask me... Mainly lycra'd up road knobs and Brompton riders with Napoleon complexes... Why does everyone insist on racing? Cocks, the lot of 'em... Really gets my goat up...
I miss winter and clear roads... Almost...
    End of rant...

I've really enjoyed cycling to work everyday this week. I've been leaving 30mins later so the roads are a bit clearer(of bikes) so I can just cruise :-)

  • Mouse, yesterday on New Oxford Street
Ma3k, this morning on Rosebery Avenue

  • this morning, i think it was vic on the small bright bike overtook me on clerkenwell road, 2 mins later Frank Glass on guildford st (something of a regular occurence) then Buffalo Bill on a geared surly round Russell Sq

Yeah, obviously got out the wrong side of bed this mornin'... Did have to do the baby skid thing a coupla times to keep some fucker from drafting me all the way to work... I enjoyed that bit! ;D

  • Yeah, I'm the guy on the red fix who gave you a verbal pat on the back. There aren't so many fixed wheels around Cambridge - I think I've seen about half a dozen different riders. There are some others of an older generation who ride single freewheels. Give me a shout if you see me again.

  • It's packed in town atm. I guess i miss all of this as i start at 9.30, still i'm up and out at 8.30 so i can get a coffee on the way in to work and take the long way round so it feels like it's been worth riding to work. Took a wrong turn this morning and found my self at Primrose hill. What a beautiful morning for that to happen.

  • +1/ they're downright dangerous too . . . for they know not what they do.

  • In reply to teenslain.

I recognised the "oi oi!" I think before I turned and saw you, although I could be mistaken as I was still in shock from finding Tynan ;)

    Was he on his 18?

  • last night around 8.20 on one of the streets around Bishops Gate I spied a chap with Arrospok x2! I shouted "you sell 100 dorra" but either didn't hear me, or ignored me well.

You think it was you who found me, but I have been hunting you for several months and my plan of wondering along your route covered in male pheromones seems to have worked. ;P

  • Red Frame (reads Alex Elliot ?) - fixed - brakeless - great track stand at the lights at Clerkenwell Rd/Old Street.

(click on VIMEO logo to play a better quality movie - or of you want to see this fella's SIDIs and frame in full Hi-Definition quality - click the download' link in the bottom right of the VIMEO web page to download the HD original quicktime - someone might recognise him from that)
