  • jaygee and veevee in my usual jaygee and veevee spotting place.

and a dude in a grumpetto shirt on the kings rd...

  • PRAV!! He still exists! Good to chat man. Ever the gentleman he let me carry on whilst he spun his legs off on his SS.

  • Cool dude, with skateboard strapped to back outside Milton Keynes Station. Riding a maroon fixie with a mega slack chain!

  • had a die hard moment on bloomsbury way this morning.
riding around 20 feet back from a large hgv with a skip on the back partially covered with a tied cover which was carrying kitchen worktops... and one of them dislodged itself and flew off in the middle of the road, a couple of cars braked sharply and being the bad ass rider i am, i swerved to avoid this 20 odd ft object flying through the air with the driver of said vehicle completely oblivious to the mayhem ensuing behind him.. and narrowly missed hitting the worktop as it slid towards me just outside richer sounds.

that was the film version of the event which i will be telling hot chicks at the pub tonight.

actual version was i was about 50 ft behind the hgv with several cars and vans between us. a large 10ft kitchen work top flew off the back of the hgv and a few cars slowed down. i tried to ride up and notify the driver but he was closed in at the lights at the top of bloomsbury way (one way). then rode off.

    was pretty nuts either way.

  • an lfgss capped rider in a yellow jersey heading south on the A21 towards Bromley/Beckenham around 8.30ish, no idea about the bike, only just glimpsed the cap

saw him again today, fair/ginger beard riding a black tourer of some description, same clothes...

I think someone might have shouted DAS at me on sunday when I was on the brompton near beckenham 'hill' or it was just someone in a car calling me a cunt...

Well, there should be a thread called 'Draw your own near-misses'.

  • Baaaare forumengers (well, a few) at the jerk festival. Psy, Spaghoops, BRM and Damo. Hello y'all!

    Why were they bare?

  • it was a jerk festival?

  • Well, there should be a thread called 'Draw your own near-misses'.

  • Had a nice little chat with Max today on my commute. He was actually working!

  • Tynan

  • Health Sec. Andrew Lansley whispering very conspiratorially to someone over breakfast at Inn The Park...... a glassfibre spitfire parked outside the cabinet war rooms, and a fit cyclist on a fixie langster outside St. James Tube Station.

  • Citygent in East Dulwich this morning. Nice hat sir.

  • bmmf on Sunday, early, sneaking out for a recce of a ride he's leading later this month. He was kind enough not to blow me off his wheel.

I missed the name of your companion when you first introduced him, but then I heard that voice, and all was clear.

Hope your ride was good. It was pretty filthy out there - especially on the bridleways :D
