  • Shake it... shake it.. shake it like a polaroid picture (in sidis)

  • Spotted Pipwish - Warren Street tube, met him to do a seedy tyre deal, dirty £20s went one way, two hoops of exotic rubber the other way - his bike is rather cool, postbox red Bob Jackson, very nice chrome rear mud guard + other various bike furniture - as I walked off I spotted some old bloke (in his 60s/70s) stop Pipwish and quiz him about his lovely bike.

  • A month or so back I had a geezer on an ancient Dawes shout "fooking hell a Bob Jackson" whilst we were waiting to pull out onto Shaftesbury Avenue from bottom of Greek St and he launched into reminiscing all the way up to Monmouth St about racing one up north when he was a kid and how he really wanted a Mercian and how Condor were always thought a bit flash.

    So nothings changed really.

  • ...except that people want Bob Jacksons these days :P

  • I spotted a chap on a black fixed with red decals wearing black trousers and red socks with a nice beige bag in Canary Wharf a moment ago.

Cheers Wheels, that is nearly it for the white tyres. Maybe one pair left.

The mud guard is a Honjo Koken.

The old chap said it was a beautiful bike and that he had a track bike 50 years ago(!). He looked it all over and started quizzing me about gear ratios and such like. It's good when someone you wouldn't otherwise chat to lights up about something like this.

  • I forgot to ask, did you get that sprayed/powdercoated or was it new ?

    Nice to meet you anyway.

    Chris

  • Nice to meet you too, first time I've been spotted and of all things it was waiting for a bus, sigh. Said nice thing is a very very nice thing by the way.

  • hippy Shake it... shake it.. shake it like a polaroid picture (in sidis)

I have a bag full of polaroid film with me, its like gold at $1 per shot, then theres the medium format... i need less pricey hobbies.

  • just saw seb riding up peckham high street, away from polo, whilst i rode the other way, back from east end drinks. and i was damp, and a hundred yards later i got a puncture.

unlocky, well by the time i got home damp would not even begin to describe it

  • it was most unlocky, young sir.

lockily i lived only a further hundred yards down the road.

  • don't see many folk on my morning route up the A10, but i did see a chap in a mustard yellow (ish) top crossing a junction near dalston on a burgundy mercian with a nice pink spiral seat tube. nice bike, i was too busy trying to track stand at the lights (whatever) to wave/salute etc. i do often see a courier chap (i think) on a green frame with orange forks headin down towards kingsland road from stamford hill.

  • hops! I screamed, you looked confused.
