Out on the country lanes of rural Lincolnshire I saw a Matt black Fixie coming the other way...Was that you cycling out of Uffington Tuesday at about 7.45 am?

Peterborough city centre yesterday I saw a bloke dressed up to the nines. Rapha Condor Long sleeve top, Leather courier bag, 3/4 length Cargo pants, flip flops and a Geared BMC bike.....Noooooo. Didn't get the chance to ask him for his excuse!

Perhaps the op could set out the rules of what one is meant to wear with what bike. I am afraid that I have always assumed that riding a bicycle was a liberating experience and that one could wear whatever one felt comfortable in.
