Ha! priceless

loads of idiots through clerkenwell and old st about 8.30/9 — what must have been the dregs of critical mass or something. Winding up drivers, getting in fights, and generally behaving like pricks.
Isn't cycling in London hard enough already? Why behave like that? Especially on a Friday night in the rain when everyone's driving like a nutcase and stopping distances are sketchy anyway.
It just amplifies this stupid "Us vs. Them" mentality and makes everyone more aggressive.

1+ on the us vs. them mentality, hate it when people do that.

Good evening for spotting. MA3K, owenreed, mastershredder, and probably loads of others I missed on CM. Then BDW on the New King's Road. Great to see you! It had been too long since yesterday. Then people at the Sloaney Pony and finally Jimbilly on the Hipster Spice Route. Forumengers are taking over!

CM was scrappy tonight, didn't feel right. We peeled off at Hyde Park Corner, which was about the best time to do so.

London's famous Blue Quin DAS'ing me on the Roman this eve, sorry not to oblige, rather caught me off guard there old chap...
Quite alright sir, your cheerful wave was a pleasure to see.
By the way I passed Grays Inn Rd 3 times today. Did I see Ed Scoble even once? Did I fuck. What is the world coming to?

Ed's changing his LBS, that's what's happening.

Last night 10pm - traffic lights before the Circle on Clapham Road (before heading up the 'hill' to Clapham North), cyclist clean knocked out by white man van's swinging right hook - nose on the other side of face and unconscious.
Me cycling up 20 yards behind to witness said event. Seemed to be unprovoked as far as I could make out (admittedly did not see too much prior to the punch and rage).
Poor guy was in a bad shape - thankfully police have details of vehicle and description, and the ambulance crew arrived promptly. I hope he manages to get himself sorted.
Certainly shook my friday night ride back from uni up....

Yeah it is. Drivers are so aggressive and inconsiderate and cyclists are either unaware of everything or needlessly confrontational. Some days it's more noticeable than others, but it's still there.
Can't everyone just get along?! sigh ;)

it's only noticeable due to your perspective of how people behave, see it in a positive manner, you'll start to notice less aggression, a negative manner, more aggression.

thats bullshit. Its hard to ignore when you have to put up with it every day and yes cycling in london is a massive pain in the arse not only because of how cyclists are treated by the majority of drivers and pedestrians but also due to the poor state of London's roads.

pretty sure I spotted Adoubletap in full roadie mode on the upper richmond road no doubt heading home apres laps of RP..
Gave a wave but you may not have recognised me since I've been shorn.

Guess I'm not the only person that spotted about 5 million bikers going through south London this morning for a funeral... Awesome sight... RIP... Reminded me of Paul's procession... We musta looked fucking awesome too...
not-spotted...
I had a pretty bad day on Wednesday, commute to work two seperate incidents where peds in the city stepped out without looking down the road with very near misses.. then heading to a meeting in soho after lunch, a car driver left turns and cuts me up, managed to stop and ended up leap-frogging my handle bars, something I have never done before out of toe straps, got a few gasps on lookers, i was absolutely livid, but glad i avoided a collision..
considered burning my 2007 worlds/quick step jersey as worn by Paolo 'Il Grillo' Bettini.. bringing me nothing but bad luck lately when i ride around London
