Were you riding geared behind me for my last lap-or-so?
Dan, were you the guy that helped me find a bike shop on your iphone at Regents Park Friday evening to pick up a 'tube? Hat and grey fixed sounds familiar.

Was bloody heavy! Was Ok to start with, but I felt like a snail by the end. Was flagging a bit by the time you caught me.
Lovely evening for a ride though—hope to see you there again. With any luck I'll be geared up on the Merckx next time
Hi Dan,
Is yours a fairly large framed, flat grey bike? If so i think we've bumped into eachother a few times round RP over winter. I'm normally on an old blue and silver Colnago.
Cheers,

reeen this morning whizzing past on the Jamaica road / tooley street junction, just as I was about to jump a red into a side road, realised that the very first car was the rozzers which was followed by a skid stop.

Since I'm off the bike and being a walkenger everywhere I notice more bikes since I'm not watching every Addison Lee motorcycle and peds for random life-threatening manoeuvres.
I've noticed a load of lime green Create bikes and Mongoose Maurices. I saw four of the latter today; is the Maurice the new Plug?
And peds are even more annoying when I'm on foot. This walking thing is making me more misanthropic.

the Maurice is cheap as chip, so yes, base on that alone, it replace the Plug however ugly it is.

Sugino 75s, Brooks saddle and risers? Well, you don't see many bikes like that around.
-
• #25297
That might explain the Maurice then. It definitely is not burdened with an excessively attractive appearance.

Loads of Rapha riders and others in R(egents)P, including a bloke on a nifty titanium fixed - nice riding with you!

Slag and Mrs Slag on Coningham Road. I would have shouted for skidz but i was having trouble remembering how to open my front door.
First time anyone has thrown me the thumbs up while commuting! Shame it was just seconds after I dropped the Holdsworth down a massive pot hole thanks to f*ckwit Brompton guy, who couldn't ride a line to save his life.
