  • Had a brief chat with Chainbreaker on Leadenhall around 13.15. I was walkenger.

Hey D! good chatting \and better spot!!!! your arm looks like a pillow dude! SERIOUSLY THO, see you tweed side. 3 months sucks!!!

  • I was going home early after various eye tests including one with drops that dilated my pupils and made me near blind

I've had these before; weirdest/most surreal thing ever. Couldn't see a thing for literally 4/5 hours, even the dimmest of lights hurt my eyes.

  • Spotted the lovely teenslain outside his work in canary warf, where he was doing me a favor. He is a Lovely lovely man.

  • Lies...

  • OK! Three this morning, Guys wearing a Rollapaluza cap on Canonbury Street. I shouted 'Nice Cap' you looked confused, granted it would have been more obvious if I had been wearing mine. Guy on Clerkenwell Road riding a lovely blue Eddy Merckx and nice plus fours in prep for tomorrow, I was just about to make comment on them when we were both overtaken by a guy on an IRO, green rims, with the most amazing mustache! Good to see the whole of London getting ready for a Tweed Spectacular!

  • Me, playing out in London all afternoon on my bike. Wave if you go by!

  • Dov doing a spit on HSK this fair morn. I was dog walkenger.

  • Hippy looking oblivious on his way to work on this fine Friday morning. Hungover much?

  • Someone shouting 'pink!' at me last night on bayswater road.

  • Someone in Altura hi viz with a Hump and MTB helmet on a blacked out 14 Bike Co/Affinity looking 700c low-pro has just ridden past my office on Euston Road. #youredoingitwrong

  • Go,illy! in Kennington, nice rolling with ya dude, have a great holiday... D.Generate on Cable Street with an arm looking like this...

What a beautiful day to be alive...

  • Did either the crop-haired male rider of the black condor pista with white forks, carrying an Invoshire (?) courier bag or the dark-haired female rider of the pink fixed bike (poss a peugeot?) spot me (baldy git in black clothes on an old dark blue paddy wagon with sit-up-and-beg bars and a carradice saddlebag) being driven into and assaulted by the driver of a silver Vauxhall estate at the lights at the north end of Waterloo Bridge this morning? All because he hadn't wanted to stop when the lights went to red.

I'd just passed you as you were chatting on the bridge. I'm annoyed that my camera failed to capture his registration plate - if you were around, and noticed the reg no., I might bother to report this guy.

  • WTF?!? Hope you're alright, dude... Get onto the old bill, there'll be cameras all over the shop down there...

  • report it.

  • Report. Then kill him in the face.

Dude on a black Bob Jackson this morning, black/red tyres, chrome Nitto drops, Kingsland Road. Morning!

  • clefty. at least i think it was clefty but the bike is silver and not spokked.
was shooting street backgrounds outside mt pleasant/rosebury ave and only noticed the was a cyclist after downloading the card and looking on the pooter.

not me - clefty dopplganger at large

  • Yeah, I'm OK thanks.

A colleague who was riding along Strand heard the commotion and we rode the rest of the way to work together, chatting about it. That helped calm me down and see the lighter side of it.

I'd just been wondering about whether I should be more ready to run red lights, as I'd been skimmed by a bus at the Old Vic when I stopped as the lights changed and the bus driver clearly hadn't intended to. And then this guy in the Vauxhall does an emergency stop on my tail, starts effing and blinding at me and barges into the ASL alongside me, so I move forward so that I'm not squashed between his wing and the kerb when he pulls away. More effing and blinding; I look round and ask him why he's so worked up. He drives his car into my back wheel. I climb off the bike and get the camera out of my saddlebag (I'd packed it today because it was so sunny and i thought it would be cool to be able to take pictures of London's famous London on a glorious sunny Friday, not because I was going to gaffer-tape it to my head and record my commute...). I take a picture (or at least I try) of his reg plate and therefore don't bother to memorise it myself. He's then out of the car, barging me and trying to throw my bike to the side of the road.

I was not really taking everything in (focussing on staying calm) but I was aware of a large audience and some shouts from passers-by, which all seemed to be on my side. Nutter returns to his car, shouting at passers-by "Look what he done!". I pull over to the ped crossing bit in the central refuge and repack the camera and to keep out of this guy's way.

I was delighted, in retrospect, at how polite I had been. And I'm also pleased not to be too shaken by it. Now a bit torn about embarking on the hassle of reporting it, even though I know it's my duty as a member of the oppressed cycling community...

Oh, and I managed to take a picture of my foot.

I'm friends with both of these riders and just called the bloke on the pista who says he didn't get the reg.The driver started on him too he says.Hope you're OK mate.

Shame no registration but still worth reporting https://secure.met.police.uk/roadsafelondon/

  • A Rapha'd up guy on his day off, heading out to the hills, admiring my bike this morning. Won't be on here but have a good one anyway!

  • I hate people who decided that the best way to live life is to scream and hate and eat marmite, glad you're ok though.

reporting it may appear very much of an hassle, but it's still worth doing, even if the chance of result is very low, remember other cyclists may have reported him due to his aggressive behaviour (like the bloke you just chatted to), even if you hasn't got the plate, try and describe the vehicle/bloke as much as you can.

  • Thanks overdrive - it would have been cool to get the reg but never mind.

I'm normally a bit obsessive about remembering reg numbers of folk who cut me up but completely and epically failed this time cos I was farting around with a camera that I assumed would do the job for me.

Sadly I can't upload pics from the camera at the moment to show everyone (a) the rear view of this loon as he returned to his car and (b) my foot and part of my wheel.

Mind you, I do have some pics and videos of the ordinaries at Herne Hill from last Friday and I can look at these to keep myself entertained while I wait for the working day to pass...

  • I hate people who decided that the best way to live life is to ... eat marmite

    Are you mentally ill?

    ;)

  • Ed's on fire today...

  • Think I spotted kisu_shimo in the hellhole that was covent garden yesterday. I shouted KEEEEETH (not DAS) then hid behind a car.
