  • track standing is twatty. please just sit on your bike, with both feet on the pedals. sitracking / sakking / tricking / ???

    +1.

I do it for convenience, but mainly cos sit standing is just the most comfortable way to wait there.

Sit standing was good enough for Hoy and Wolf, so more than good enough for me.

  • Lady Ellis and I saw Teenslain failing to get into his front door this morning, as he seemed to have forgotten he had two wheels strapped to his back; cue lots of walking through the door, bouncing back, walking through the door, bouncing back... to his credit, it was early.

    Gold.

  • Whilst riding to brighton today I spotted a bunch of rather tired looking people riding the other way, none of them had the energy to 'do a skid'

    Dropout looked very spritely though

    Indeed. Could be no other.

  • Speaking of comedy gold...

I saw a youngish guy today on a fixie mincer sweeet trix bike (bruv cuz) catch his heel on the trick nuts he had on the back of said sweet fixie, and go flying face first with bike behind him into a bus lane. I did wait till I was sure he was ok before I allowed myself to truly relish the moment, and I would have had more sympathy, but A. he must have know the clearance between his heel and his nuts (heh) wasn't much, and B. he was mincing about the road in that slow weave-y way that drives me insane.
