  • Forgot: hoonz last night riding past SN Church Street.

  • A nice courier chap complimented me on my bike this morning by the lights at bank.

Which was a) very pleasant and b) a surprise as my bike looks like a blind pissed person built it.

That may have been me. I can't remember where it was but I remember complimenting someone on a Bob Jackson Vigorelli as I overtook them. It was a very nice bike, full mudguards and both brakes, tastefully put together.

Ah sorry would probably of ignored you anyways if you did shout I was on a mission to get home seeing as though i had lost feelings in all toes by that point !
Will try and drag my ass to wests very soon has been a while hope all is good wiv you mister :)

Ha! Fair enough. Yeah everything is good, try get to Souths on Monday?

Yeah, I had a beard and a new era in Putney if I remember? All tricked out. I was looking like a farmer yesterday!

Haha yeah I remember thinking it looked like some kind of trick bike you had in Putney.

Wasn't me sadly - my bike is nowhere near as nice as a BJV and certainly not very tasteful (though I'm working on it...)

  • (This is your cue to post a photo)

  • Mr.17 what a nice hug.
    x

  • I think I overtook ATK on Theobald's Rd yesterday at about 12:30, recognised the stickered Spinergy 4 spoke front wheel thing. Hello mate, dunno if you noticed me but I was the courier with the huge long silver seatpost.

  • haha, can you elaborate?

The bike looked pretty new and he looked a bit wobbly. Approached the parked taxi and somehow misjudged the distance, hitting it with what looked to be his pedal! It looked painful, but I couldn't help but chuckle!

  • Spotted JD outside the John Snow shouting "Herro Radies!" at Japanese women.

It's the one on the left - though it does have some much nicer pursuit bars on now.

  • a guy on a white mm having issues trying to stop at a traffic light, and send a text at the same time, you almost fell over but did a little circle whilst laughing. good save. it was at the end of sydney street where it meets the kings road oppasite chelsea town hall.

  • A forumite whose name I don't know but who was at the track day with his family and rides a Bianchi Pista Concept having an embarrassing incident on St George's Circus this morning. I was a walkenger but you cannot escape the all seeing eyes of LFGSS. ;-)

I just did a forum search for something else and spotted this. Em, i think that was me... In the future when it's a bit wet and greasy out i'll remember to:
    A. not run my tyres at concrete pressure.
    B. Slow down round corners.
    C. Make sure no one's looking if ignoring both A and B.

I was fine, thanks for asking...
it just aggrevated my shoulder that i'd jarred 3 months before while doing a similar thing while being pissed and carrying a take away curry. Think i've learned this time.

    B.

  • Yesterday about 5.30pm at one of the junctions on Clerkenwell Rd (maybe Goswell), a guy with a white Condor cap trackstanding on a Bianchi ... some ridiculous dude on a MTB (I think) goes in front and does a wobbly no-handed trackstand, much to the Bianchi guy's amusement. It was hilarious.

  • 'nother belated hello, from wednesday:
watcha Slamm and another poloenger whom I failed to look at somewhere around the Newington area, Long Lane I beleieve its called. I was on a gearedybike and loving it. Nice to see someone on my commute, I never do apart from Rrrrrrrrik at a spot a bit further east.

Watcha Skully, I was with Hops and it was indeed Long Lane.

  • I was in the rain having a blast and gave skoota a bit of a demented smile as I rode into Brixton yesterday, he smiled back in a 'you're a weirdo' kind of way.

  • nny and tootoughtodie at Brixton Tesco, then illy (I think) at Herne Hill junction, 'ola.

  • Approaching Tufnell Park this afternoon through massively gridlocked traffic. Cause: a fucking HELICOPTER parked outside the tube station.

Apparently there was someone under a train, but the number of emergency services (like, shit loads) suggests there was more to it than that. Bit weird.

Sort of back on topic, I spotted a bicycle fuzz leaving the scene down Tufnell Park road, in the dark, with no lights. Regrettably I was too far away to bring it to his attention.

  • I had my first proper spot!

I was on Well street and a guy and a lady walked passed on bikes. I just jumped onto mine.

The guy had a red single and I didn't quite see the ladies bike. I turnt around to double check my spot and he kind of was turning around aswell. Perhaps he was thinking why is that guy starring at me? lol.

I kinda hoped that he was on here when I was looking at his bike. I hope you are on here buddy!

Let me get this straight. Do you mean it was your first time seeing human beings on bikes?

Yeah London is pretty quiet. I was beginning to think there were no humans on bicycles but me :o

Nah my first Fixed/SS :p I don't have one BTW.

I never knew about fixed until I joined here :)

Since, I have noticed plenty of bikes with one gear, but I never had time to get a good look. This was my first proper spot where I had more than a quick glimpse :)

  • saw some bloke on a bianchi pista in a green hoodie + backpack hurtling down fountain drive near crystal palace. A maniac over the speed bumps? sound riding.

Ah. Thank you for the elucidation.

  • shouted Jim!, at hillbilly. thought I would clarify that it was indeed me that shouted it and not some randy bloke in camberwell....

  • who owns the blue and yellow daccordi locked up on monmouth st all afternoon?

It was simply someone deciding to end their life under a train...
