  • pickle, Waterloo Bridge . Hope I didn't startle you!

Not at all, tried catch up with you but you zoomed up aldwitch, i was heading for covent gardens. Nice to see a familiar face on my commute :)

  • I think Jim is the most spotted on the forum. Saw him in camberwell with miss socks on thursday night, shouted do a skid and he duly obliged.

Ah, I was wondering who that was. I never miss the opportunity to skid, especially if I'm asked.

    Oh and hello sir.

  • Possible Stix spotting on Green Lanes sometime this afternoon. Would have waved, but was only really sure it was you once corroborated with Will, and by then it was too late.

  • The raleigh geared bike with only a front brake. TWICE today!!!!

  • Stix on Green Lanes. Yeh, I know it's a re-spot but it was me not that fakenger Emilia who spotted you. She's got a head full of jolly robins that one.
I spotted someone else this weekend but I forget who. You know you guys all look the same after a while. Young, bearded, possessed of a quiet confidence, some kind of bike with bits on it, wheels, possibly a stem...

  • Right now right outside my window, The Queen Mary being towed very slowly down the river by three tugs. Apparently they're taking it to La Rochelle to become a floating luxury hotel. I used to have a monthly meeting on that. Good sandwiches. Well, lots of sandwiches which is good....

N.B this is the Clyde ferry Queen Mary that's been moored by Waterloo bridge for years not the mahoosive ocean liner of the same name. Still quite a substantial thing for the river. They're still going to have trouble getting it under Blackfriars bridge I reckon. All the masts and funnels have been cut off but they're sort of stalled waiting for the tide to drop by the looks of things.

  • A smiley Brayley riding a Bakfiets full of flowers this morning through Piccadilly - good morning!

  • Me smashing my Average speed PB for my commute this morning, whilst carrying a heavily laden bag:
Laptop in hard case, power supply, full tool kit, krypto fag chain with lock, and my lunch for the day.

    5 miles, 15 minutes, 20mph average speed.

Put a smile on my face this morning :)

  • ^ You can thank clipless pedals for that. :)

  • I reckon so, after getting them set up properly, and getting my shoes sorted etc for my legs, I am mega in love with my cliplessness!
Everything is just easier, more efficient, and skidding is a piece of piss compared to clips/straps.

  • Jacqui sitting about 15ft from me in my office... Weird but nice... :]

  • Geezer with Chrome rucsac on nice blue Italian roadbike conversion through Bermondsey this am, trackstanding at various lights. I had a chrome rucsac too, stupid bobble hat, yellow and green fifties path bike. Watcha.

Also someone outside Goldsmiths stopped at the kerb with a familiar-looking red Bob Jackson, old block decals in white, I spotted a silver Phil on the front...

There was quite a good write up of this on http://www.cyclingnews.com this morning.

It'll be interesting to see which pro team makes the best offer.
