If it's any consolation the guy on the flouro bike is always scarily fast whenever I've spotted him before, you did well to match him with the wheel on in a headwind! Nice Powell btw, shiny shiny.

Gone past these a couple of times- it is a great idea.

I think it's only one company doing it at the moment- I put it in the spotted thread the first time I went past one, cannot remember the name of the company now though.

CEMEX, following Cynthia Barlow's campaigning, has the most advanced warning systems installed on its vehicles (proximity sensors etc.), but audible warnings are on quite a few vehicles around now, including some Council vehicles. It would be good to see them adopted more widely.

some contractors are being made to use those speaker things on their HGVs by specific architects and getting them to sign up to special training for london cyclists... can only help i guess.
