Courier/fakenger with a bag the size of a semi-detached house pulling some very smooth skids on Glenthorne Rd / Hammersmith roundabout this morning. I was on a go-slow because running a rear flat. Came into work, was replacing the tube, my hand slipped and I punched myself in the testicles :(

My assumption was that Wigan Will had been around... still closed off. Gas line caught fire too, along with lots of acrylic wigs and the train line.
Hairdresser on Fire etc.

Eyebrows' Geekhouse being ridden on Fulham Rd this morning, presumably by Eyebrows (though that bike does get around) ;)

how exactly in the process of changing a tube could you ever end up punching yourself in the balls?!

Since you ask... I'm sitting on a chair, wheel between legs. Repaired tube is in. I'm running a tyre lever in between rim and tyre to snap it back into place, moving my hand/arm towards me. Lever slips out of rim, hand (holding lever) flies into genitals. Impact = nasty.

About 6 this morning Katie. From my window, it looks like it's getting better now, but all of the side streets off Atlantic Road / Railton Road etc were still closed off when I rode through this about 10.30.
Are you trying to make the place look different for your parents?

Tyre lever to install new tube = fail. The punch in the balls is your punishment.

Brixton high street was hell on (stationary) wheels this morning, I'll never complain about riding through the market again!

hippy = sympathy fail. But yeah, basically he's right, also if you hadn't done it to yourself he'd have been round there to administer the punishment himself.

Getting tyres on my deep-V rims has defeated even hardened LBS mechanics (they muttered something about a size mismatch). Plus I have the fingers of a child. So I'll stick to thumping my own bollocks with a tyre lever, thanks.

Dude, don't go looking for excuses. If you want to punch yourself in the balls, just go for it.

I love how when it's pissing with rain it seems to just leave fixed riders (looking happy!)
Just rode up and down Kingsland Rd for the first time in months, forgot how potholed/draincovered it is north of Dalston Kingsland. Total slippy nightmares. Especially looking out for shoppers all over the.. shop
[edit: sorry a bit off-topic, but the first line was kind of meant in the 'spotted' vein]

Did you see the Winspar (thats an unsure mixture of Winston and Caspar that was there as well?)I need to be more forumobservant.
I'll try and make proper commutenger hours tomorrow and see what i see.
Two guys outside the Founders Arms, one of whom had an crazy Orange Brooklyn. The other I didn't catch. However im sure ive seen them before, except the Brooklyn had an Aerospoke up front.
