  • A sexy guy on lyrca riding a 'nag around 2pm, Wembley station. Dem legs, pwhoar.

    hahaha - love it!!!

  • Shootthebreeze at lunchtime, coming out of Condor and onto an amazing piece of lopro bling, nice.

  • Me doing my first skids today!

More out of need than style. First one on liverpool road just by waitrose on the way to work, black cabbing u-turning without looking, me panicking and locking my legs skidding to a stop a foot away from his door. He nods, says "Good effort" and off he went. I was so chuffin pleased I didn't even swear.
2nd one, Liverpool road, almost EXACTLY the same place, this time a police car crossing goes across my way on a green light, I'm pulling an emergency stopping and doing a weird double bounce/skid. Was tempted to side swipe the idiot and see what happens!

Sigh, shame no one saw but i'm pleased. I just need to be able to do it without having to rely on impending doom.

Are you trying to start another argument or what? I don't want this thread to have the same effect on me as the helmet one everytime it pops up in my RSS.

  • Donut! and Crabtree going down bethnal green road towards Sclater st, I stealthily shouted DO A SKID from pavement level behind some scaffolding.

Duncan responded with razor sharp reactions, Chris just looked mildly amused, awesome :)

  • Nope.

  • 3 black guys on the most excellentest bikes I have EVER seen round my endz, near the oval. truly fantastic bicycles

  • the colours were tooooo sik!

  • Black dude on a red brakless Pinarello... You swung back to check out my sweet Roberts while I was enjoying a pint by the Imperial War Museum... Say hi next time, you looked like I'd caught you with your hands down my lady's knickers... Or something... ;)

  • Im my adventure to east london.
person who i think is OOL near brick lane riding with a kid and a guy one one of the ugliest bikes i've seen, double miss matched aerospokes badly painted bably blue frame and cranks.

later guy on a lo pro going down cheshire st, bike looked way to small and the 24" front wheel was just silly.
another guy that looked to be running 52/16 with no clips and no brakes.

  • bobob walking his pretty bike over vauxhall bridge tuesday night. sorry i couldn't stop dude, TNRC.

Wotcha.... was looking on google maps for corny's house.... or, was vauxhall bridge too steep for my classic steed!?!?! :-)

  • A Scottish guy on a low-pro Pennine (I think it was this one: http://www.londonfgss.com/thread14059.html) on New Oxford Street this morning. We chatted about Pennine bikes, he peeled off into Tottenham Court Road, I hit that great big pothole at the top of Oxford Street and knocked off my chain.

  • Nhatt on Stockwell Road last night, lovely chatting to you. Hope your shoulder's feeling a bit better.

  • I do, when was this?

Yesterday lunchtime, I came in to buy inner tubes and vaguely recognised you from the names and faces thread and knew that someone on here worked there. I just couldn't remember who. Next time I'm in I'll say hello, my office is just around the corner so I pop in fairly often.

So they were running the red? Which means they had their siren or lights on which means you didn't see or hear them as you entered the intersection, which means.. observation fail. I hope you have brakes and slow down until you can read the traffic a bit better.

  • Object with another chap this morning outside the Holborn tube station at 8.40.

  • me being a walkenger.
wools - victoria street, around 8.45 ish. ignoring/not hearing my shout of "do a skid!".

  • later guy on a lo pro going down cheshire st, bike looked way to small and the 24" front wheel was just silly.

    yessssssssssssssss! my first spot!

  • 3 black guys on the most excellentest bikes I have EVER seen round my endz, near the oval. truly fantastic bicycles

I think I saw these fellas riding up Balham hill northbound last night, one had a green front spok - they had big smiles on their faces and looked like they were having lots of fun.

Oh and willski last night, sneaking up on me as usual, with the cry of 'SPOKKKK' stopping for a chat, then zooming off. Nice to see you mate - being back from holiday sucks doesnt it.

  • Jonny on his copacetic having a fight with a carrier bag by Waterloo this morning. I was two bikes behind and thought you'd hit a pigeon at first.

Also, bloke on a black IRO with white Deep Vs and white bullhorns and battenberg socks heading north from E&C to Waterloo at about 9.25 - are you a Forest Hiller by any chance?

  • this morning, spotted a guy on an old green geared racer with mudguards doing an (unexpected) awesome stoppie at the lights on Stamford St just off the IMAX roundabout. the back wheel must have been a good two and a half foot off the ground... nice skills!
