Yesterday, some super polite guy on a nice geared bob jackson in purple, lovely vintage thing, just past the oval cricket ground, up towards vauxhall, where it goes all one way and six lanes wide. Why do I think he was polite? He pulled out round a bus, I was a good twenty yards back, and he thought he'd inconvenienced me, I guess, put his hand up and said sorry.
I said "that's a lovely bike you have there my good man", and he said "yours looks good too" -- which is balls, 'cos my bike is a heap of junk. Still, put a smile on my face to speak to a random cyclist, who was clearly a nice bloke, and to see such a nice bike. It was even sunny. Great commute for once.

Today about 7pm a guy on a pale fixed gear cutting through the back roads of Sydenham and scooting down Lennard Road towards Beckenham. Why can i never shout "Do a Skid"....Were you on your way back from London ? if so how do you get up and over the hill at Crystal Palace without gears ?

Festerban looking confused, slowing up, trackstanding and then slipping down Macklin st.
Must have decided on an impromptu cyclefit.
After a year of couriering I've finally worked out a certain route through Covent Garden that doesn't involve going up a one way street the wrong way :)

It was me, riding back home with me Julie from celebrating a friends birthday.
I put the interesting wheel on the fixed this morning for the ride to work and the "automatic lane changing feature" that I was concerned about was not an issue.
Next week I'll be wearing my skin suit to really shave seconds off my time through Camberwell.

It wasn't me but I ride that route quite often. Crystal Palace hill isn't that hard fixed, just avoid Sydenham Hill from the junction with Lordship Lane.

Saw a motorcycle cop in a slow-speed pursuit of a young lady on a Brompton on Holborn Viaduct this morning. She did drag it out making him follow her at 3mph for a good block.
