  • For the record, I don't mind if anyone wants to call me hot.

  • Duly noted.

I know that I sound harsh, I'm just tired of having this weird double standard in all aspects of my life. Please, I rate most of you as being the best part of society, so let's create a small society where we aren't being racist or sexist.

  • I think Tommmy should post for himself :OD

  • Please....sometimes guys find girls hot and vice versa. If you don 't wanna play, then just don't. Simple as.

And I never said I wanna bone her. Some of us can appreciate another person's beauty without getting carried away.

  • Radius by Clapham South. We tried to turned back and say hello but you were gone.

Oh no! Sorry! I wasn't sure what to do, I was thinking about turning around as well! :( I was with another roadie mate coming back from Richmond Park.

  • Skoota last night on Grt Titchfield St sorting out his snapped(I think?) chain

good tip on the velorution directions G, i sorted my chain in minutes.

But can't you appreciate that quite a few women get wound up by comments on beauty/cuteness/hotness/boneability, even if you don't understand why? And surely, having appreciated this, the decent thing would be not to make the comments?

  • Oh and Emilia LEAVING at the start of critical mass! What gives? Beneath courierengers is it? :p

Not at all. And I didn't leave right at the start - I gamely struggled along until Haymarket, and then couldn't stand it any more and raced off home. It's funny, I used to really enjoy it (last did it almost three years ago), but tonight I just got more and more nervous about how many people we were annoying. It wasn't fun at all - I just felt we were riding along being hated by everyone who saw us.

EDIT: Oh, I've just worked out who you are! And I wasn't leaving at the start - I was just walking down to the Evans on Waterloo Road, to help a friend buy a new tube.

Oh, I didn't see you! But you're right, even since I've been going (about a year 9 or so times), it's got much more aggressive, the 'incidents' have become more serious, the pace has gone right down and we stop a whole lot more. Got interviewed for Sky News at the end tho. Graham might kill me :p

No. I'm not sure how commenting that someone looked nice creates a problem. IF you don't like it then just ignore it. It's how grown ups deal with these things...or at least I do.

  • Some dude today by Acton Vale on a low pro blonde pony tail tied beard seemed to be struggling a bit

Was it a geared TT road bike?

If so I saw the same guy at about 8 'o clock on Old St, I think he was a courier.

It's a bit off putting to some of the women on here, you can't respect that? Cycling is normally one big sausage fest, the last thing I want to have pointed out to me is that I snuck in under the men only rope.

I'm sorry that you don't understand, but it would be nice if you lot could keep your comments on "hot birds" to yourselves or to your glossy girls thread.

I found the forum because someone pointed me in the direction of a thread that someone started about me, and when I found it I didn't want to instantly sign up to be a member, in fact it took me some time before I realized that there are nice people on here, not just misogynistic cunt flaps.

  • hmm I'm with Nhatt and Emilia on this one.

Anyways, saw Mr Blackfoot last night around 8pm in Hyde Park. Only realised once you'd passed -- too busy paying attention to small children running all over the place.

But isn't it just common politeness to stop doing something if it's upsetting someone, even if you can't really sympathize with why it's upsetting them?

For example, I'm a total grammar nerd, and happy (indeed, eager) to be pulled up on typos, errors, etc. I don't really see a problem with people correcting each other (I think it's good), but I'm well aware that lots of people see it differently, and that I wouldn't make many friends if I went around pointing out people's misplaced apostrophes. So I don't.

  • Point taken on Nhatt and Emilia's posts... I shan't do it again, I was feeling a bit frisky yesterday... Humble apols...
Snowy_again and gwyn_again in the Regent last night and a dude locking up a pink bike by the lights at Blackfriars Road/Southwark Street...

And that reminds me - I've noticed I'm using/reading the forum a lot less lately, mainly because I just can't be bothered to get wound up by all the sexist comments. This is probably one of the reasons there are so few women on here in the first place. The fact that it's all meant to be funny doesn't really help, I'm afraid.

If you do want this forum to be exclusively a sausage-fest, where you can talk about hot chicks to your hearts' content, some of you are going the right way about it.

Right, I'm going to shut up now, and let this thread get back on track...

  • that would be me raises hand

Nice to see you in a distance!

  • RPM and the Son of God, jayjebus, at HH 5 mins ago... No jumble, bah!
