  • Oh, and my Grandfather was not alive at the time.

  • Quadruple spot!

Met the owner of said bike properly last night at trix up on the roof, really nice guy actually, his name is Ben, apparently it clocked in at a cool £2.5k, its his first "fixie" and he's still learning to skid, he was kind enough to let me have a go, and my god what an awesome ride, so smooth and fast, oh and yes I did a skid on it ;)
He had a ride of my bike to, and it got the same reaction it seems to get from everyone, "its like a big bmx, great fun!", also managed to teach him how to skid on my bike :)
That guys bike is something else though, if I was gonna build up a fixed for pure speed on the roads that thing is pretty close to my dream build, although I would probably go for a disc on the rear, just cos rear discs give me the horn :p

I wouldn't want to ride a bike that probably has East London's bike thieves running a sweepstake on who can get it first..

  • current money is on daz from flat 12 on that estate

He's still learning to skid?? What? So he's brakeless and riding it?
    What GI has he got?

  • What's the go with the matching bikes?

looks like Fat Tire Bike Tours

  • The Burlesque Womens Institute protest proceeding along Euston Road in the their underwear to Camden Town Hall.

  • current money is on daz from flat 12 on that estate

Man, how can you ignore the challenge of Karl from the polo courts?

  • jumps on bike, heads towards Kings Cross :p

  • Are you Polish Diable?

Born here both parents are Polish though but where my Mum is from is now in the Ukraine and she was removed to a camp in Siberia during the war.

Do you want to buy your stuff back, I have it here with me ;))

  • Man, how can you ignore the challenge of Karl from the polo courts?

Karl? don't make me laugh, since he did time he's not been the same.
    taps nose

Yeah he could skid on my bike but found it difficult on his bike?
It appeared he could stop very quickly but not quite skid on his, he told me what GI he was running though I can't remember right now, judging from the quick go I had on it I would say it was around 68-70GI, rode super nice.

Yeah if I rode that bike I would never lock it up anywhere.

  • easy steal then.

  • Easy to steal if its not locked up, I don't follow your logic?

  • yes, that is correct. i am channeling mr logic today.

  • Haha ok ok, humour fail, i'm tired and hungover!

  • spotted on lordship lane: chick on an SE Lager (is that the brown steel one?) followed by a guy on one of those metallic green 'brandless' things.

  • That reminds me*... Was outside the Offside Bar havin' a tab last week (Le Tour sesh) and spotted Paul Daniels and Debbie Mcghee in their Toyota Prius in a traffic jam right outside the pub... I waved at Debbie, she smiled and waved back... Fruitbat had left so was with dogs and horatio at the time, neither of them knew who I was talking about... What a waste... :S

    • Just documenting the moment for future generations...

Bolloxs, I did an interview with Debbie for a student rag, back in the 90s.
I'll try and dig out a copy for you Joe, it's hilarious.

  • He had a ride of my bike to, and it got the same reaction it seems to get from everyone, "its like a big bmx, great fun!"

Hm, my reaction was more 'it's like a big sit-up-and-beg, and riding it I feel like a pre-war cyclist'. ;)

  • who's is the stickered up yellow lo-pro, white randanours, red cranks, red saddle, etc - locked up outside the all saints store, just off carnaby street !?!?

i passed you on the way to work the other moring too, cant remeber where, but travelling from east.......... possibly old street !!

    love your bike anyway !!

Presumably that was the *18*90s, Tim? ;p

I wish I could have filmed that, I was in stitches watching you ride around like a very regal looking Lord or something haha!

  • Massive LOL at having no brakes on your first bike. He must have massive bollocks. Did you notice massive nads?

  • Massive BCD?*...

    • FYI bollock circle diameter
  • I'm British so no there's not much point, I just thought it would be cool!

My Mum would never go for it anyway, even though she's the half Polish one.

Your reason actually makes sense. I love Poland at the moment because the below are in the post from Mack :)

Nope... I have some information I can give you if you're interested Fox. There was a significant amount of paperwork/administration involved. In broad terms the requirement is to prove a blood link to Poland. My mum needed to apply in order for me to be eligible (she was born in Oz too), but we were processed at the same time.

What's your nationality? For EU citizens theres not a lot of point, but for me as an Aussie it enables me to stay here.
